CHAPTER 11

''So...,''

''So...'' I raise my brow at Tasha who is biting her lip nervously standing by the sink, ''get on with it.''

She sighs, ''can we have a girl's night out, before you say know I have taken this into great consideration, and I know a perfect restaurant that suits your emo. Don't be a party pooper and say no, I want to hang out with you...''

''Okay''

''I just want to be your friend. I think you are cool even though you are a workaholic...'' I smile at her when she abruptly stops, ''wait you said yes, '' her eyes light with excitement. She was busy mumbling to realize I have agreed. Honestly, I think she is dope that is why I agreed otherwise I would have said no. I'm not a people person, Black is an exception, I don't know how he passed my guard, but he did and for that I am grateful.

''Yes, I said yes,''

''Cool, I will pick you up at your place around seven, how is that?'' she tries to play it cool but the twinkle in her eyes betrays her. I don't know why she is so excited though; I am just a regular girl. I want to ask but I hold myself back because it may come out as offensive.

''How about I meet you at the restaurant, that way it will be more convenient.'' I omit the part I don't like my co-workers knowing where I live.

Tasha nods in understanding, ''perfect''

''Black, this is embarrassing, it's a girl's night for crying out loud.'' I matter angrily at him. He is still following me to the restaurant after I candidly said no but he went on to change and followed me out like a lost puppy. Sometimes I don't get it, seriously, he behaves like a toddler.

''And I told you I am not spending a Friday night alone thinking about why the moment I attempt to start a relationship it doesn't last a month, this time a week.''

I roll my eyes, '' I am not your babysitter nor am I your mother.'' I say ignoring his relationship issues.

''I don't want you to be my mother. Seriously, I don't know what I did wrong. Things were going smoothly and the next thing I get a slap on the face and a 'don't play with my feelings'. And this time I was trying.''

I give him a side glance, '' you, trying?''

''Yes, and what do I get, a slap in the face? I'm done, I will be celibate for the rest of my life.''

''Good, we are here,'' I say without enthusiasm. He ruined my mood.

''Nice, fancy.'' Black comments his gaze running around whilst I look for Tasha. I instantly spot her sitting alone playing with her phone, I march to her with Black. He must have sensed our presence because her head snaps up the time, we reach the table. She smiles at me, then her gaze goes to Black with a cute frown on her face.

''I'm sorry about him, he refused to stay at home.'' I apologized fast hoping that she is not offended. It was supposed to be just the two of us.

''It's fine, please sit.'' She doesn't seem to mind; I release a breath I didn't know I was holding.

''I am Black,'' he introduced extending his hand which Tasha shakes eagerly.

''Tasha''

''Tasha, beautiful name for a beautiful lady. I am celibate but after seeing you, I'm thinking twice.''

I groan as Tasha grin, with her beauty, she is used to a man being like this all the time, ''celibate, why?''

Black sighs dramatically, ''after being constantly hurt by people, I figured I might as well be done with this love.''
