She ran her hand along the smooth banister of the stairs. Suga stayed at the foot of the stairs, his eyes on her as she walked up the steps.

"So you're rich?" She murmured.

"Sure." He muttered darkly. She turned to look at him.

"It's not a bad thing." He turned away.

"Do you want some water?" He asked stiffly.

"No." She slowly began to descend the steps.

"I'm going to get some." He walked away gruffly. She stopped and watched him go. She sat down on the steps. There really was nothing wrong with having money. Why did he have a problem with it? He came back and sat down with her on the beautiful stairs. They sat awkwardly for a long moment.

"You never told me why you stopped talking to me." He murmured.

"You don't want to know." She shook her head and looked away.

"No, I really do. You were my only friend. What did I do? I don't want to make the same mistake again. I'm sorry for whatever I did. Please just tell me so I can fix it." He pleaded. A tear fell from her eye. She was the biggest emotional wreck when Suga was involved.

"This sounds bad, but it wasn't you it was me." She put her head in her hands. She took a deep breath. She wasn't going to start crying again.

"What?" He asked dumbfounded.

"I was embarrassed. All my friends teased me for talking to you. Back then I just wanted to fit in. I just-God I'm a terrible person." She laughed out the last part.

"I see." He turned away from her.

"I'm so sorry. I was just so confused then. I'm confused now. I've always been confused, I never know what to do so I wait and screw things up even more." She hugged her knees to her chest.

"Everyone's confused. I think we all spend half of our lives trying to figure out what to do with it. There's just a special few who are good at it, and get where they want to go." He murmured. She nodded and chuckled.

"I guess I'm not very good at it!" They were silent for a long time.

"Your friends." He murmured. "If they really had your back they wouldn't care who you hung out with, just as long as you were happy." He took her hand. She looked over at him.

"You really think so?" She asked. He nodded.

"Yeah." She laughed bitterly.

"That's very naïve of you. People do what they think society wants them to do and that's that. Only a special few actually care."

"Do you care?" He asked.

"Yes." She murmured, "Yes I do. I don't want anyone to make the mistakes I've made." He nodded and stood. He pulled her up with him.

"Cmon I'll take you home." She nodded numbly. He kissed her softly. She hugged her arms around his neck."As long as you care now." He murmured. She nodded.

She did, she really, really did.
