The pressure in the room is no joke. The heroes, Choi-han, Ron, Beacrox, Wolf King Lock, Mage Rosalyn, and Crown Prince Alberu are in the middle of a discussion concerning the upcoming war in the Eastern continent.
The crown prince Alberu is having a hard time, they had lost too much in the Henituse and Ubarr battle. Not only that, but the battle for succession is also still ongoing, the nobles seem to become bolder when the war breaks out.
They had managed to save some of the land, but it's not enough.
The crown prince knows that they will lose slowly, even though they have a few strong individuals they could never win the war alone. Due to their lack of information, they really are at a disadvantage.
They were so lost in the discussion they had not noticed someone knocking on the door.
"Who is it?"
"My apologies, your highness but the ex-priestess Cage is requesting an audience with you and the heroes. She said that she needed to tell you something that might be able to help."
All of them had exchanged glances.
"Very well, let her in."
"Yes, your highness."
When the door opened, Cage had come rushing in and smiled tiredly at them.
"Greetings your highness, may peace of the night be with you."
"Cage, did the god of death contact you about something concerning the war?"
Choi-han had cut in, asking almost immediately. He was desperate for answers.
"Yes, the lord said that he can help with the war."
Hope began to fill their hearts at Cage's answer.
"But not easily, the lord had said that you needed to work hard to gather the information"
They started to frown.
"What do you mean by that?" The crown prince asked bluntly, he doesn't feel good about this.
"I'm not exactly sure, the lord says that he will send you to someone who has information about the upcoming war"
"May I ask who it is?"
"I don't know, the lord didn't say anything about that person, but he had offered something."
"What is it?"
"The lord says that 'if you want to know more about the upcoming war, I will send you to another world to gather information'"
Everyone stared in disbelief.
'Another world?' They all thought except Choi-han.
He already knew the concept of other worlds, especially because he too, was from another world.
"Miss Cage, this old man wants to ask, when we are gone what will happen to this world?"
"The lord says that time will stop temporarily, you will have one week to gather the information."
"Isn't that too short?"
Lock gritted his teeth, there was not much information that they could gather in one week. The others also thought the same.
"The gods can't meddle too much, it's against the law."
"So, will you accept the offer?"
They look at each other and nod.
"So how many of us can go?"
"The six of you can go. I will stay here as the mediator."
"Alright then, we will accept."
"Before you go the lord also gives you a warning."
"A warning? What is it?" Cage smiles, giving them all chills.
"To not hurt the said person, not even a single hair, if any of you hurt this person it will only lead to this world's destruction, even the gods won't be able to help you."
"What...?" All of them are dumbfounded.
"Is this person a god?"
"No, he is a human."
"But how can a person destroy another world?"
"He has his ways, so do not touch him. You cannot threaten him either."
"Miss Cage, what if that person does not want to help us?"
"Miss Rosalyn, do not think about torturing him either." Beacrox had flinched at this sentence.
"Please keep in mind not to do anything foolish to this person and the people around him, because our world is in his hands."
"Then what world will you send us to? You can at least tell us that."
"Not to worry your highness, the lord said that it is exactly the same as this world, but in that world one person's choice had changed everything."
"Now I will send you to that world."
Before they could say anything, the teleportation circle appeared under their feet.
"May you come back safely."
That's the last thing they heard before they were engulfed in darkness.
