Chomper: it's Saurus Rock! The great valleys this way! Come on!

Ruby looks behind her and sees the mysterious beyond. It pained her to have to leave. But she knew a day like this would come so she held her head up high and puffed out her chest

Ruby: let's go

With that the two head off to the great valley
_____
Speaking of which, in the great valley we see littlefoot and grandma longneck eating leaves from the top of the trees. Littlefoot eats all the leaves he could reach but notices one last leaf at they very top of it. Littlefoot reaches as high as he could, and then stands on the tree to reach it, and he was able to grab it, only to be flung by the tree to the ground. And when he finished the leaf in his mouth he sees a broke off tree with its branches coated in leaves

Littlefoot heads over to the tree and climbs right onto it but slips for a moment. Littlefoot then looks behind him to see grandma

Littlefoot: Hey, Grandma! Look at me!

Grandma looks to littlefoot and is shocked to see the tree right above a high chasm that led miles down to a very deep river

Grandma Longneck: Littlefoot, come down from there! That's quite a drop!

Littlefoot: But, Grandma, there's still some leaves on it!

Grandma Longneck: There are plenty of leaves on this tree, dear.

Littlefoot: But I can get these all by myself.

Suddenly a large earthquake occurs as littlefoot struggles to stay on the tree as it starts to wiggle around

Littlefoot: Grandma!

Grandma Longneck: Littlefoot! I'm coming!

The earthquake starts to worsen as littlefoot slips off the tree, but thankfully grandma longneck grabs him and time and gets him to the safety of the other side. But then the earthquake causes the tree to slip off the edge and fall taking grandma with it. Littlefoot looks to see grandma holding the ledge and grabbing a tree branch with her mouth and hoisting herself back onto solid ground as the earthquake ceases

Littlefoot: Grandma, are you OK?!

Grandma Longneck: Yes, dear, I think so.

Littlefoot: I would have been OK except for the earthquake.

Grandma Longneck: Shh. It's all right.
_____
Later that night the family sleeps quietly as littlefoot tosses and turns thinking about back at the chasm. He then dreamt about the worser outcome of what could've happened of grandma falling to the chasm. Littlefoot gasps in shock from the grim ending and pants frightfully to himself. He couldn't stop being reminded of that horrible day when it happened. If when...when her mother sacrificed herself for him. He couldn't stop being reminded of it. He looks to a shadow and sees grandma right above him

Littlefoot: Grandma!

Grandma Longneck: I'm here, Littlefoot. Everything's fine.

Littlefoot: We were back there, at the old tree, and you were falling.

Grandma Longneck: Shh. But I didn't fall. You were just having a bad dream

Littlefoot: I didn't mean to cause all that trouble, Grandma. I'm so sorry.

Grandma Longneck: I know, dear. But no one knows what life is going to bring us before it happens. That's why we learn the Wisdoms.

Littlefoot: The Wisdoms? I remember them! What were they again?

Grandma Longneck: [ Laughs ] Those are the ways of doing things which help us stay safe when the unexpected happens. Like this one, "Stay in a group." I stayed near you, so I was able to help when you got into trouble. Your Grandpa and I have tried to teach you the Wisdoms, although we may not have always called them that.
