"Hi, Melina~" Kadi cooed as she came up to me out of the blue, a hand snaked around her lower belly. "I feel so emotional today I don't know why~ And I keep wanting to throw up!"

"U-Uh, okay?" I replied unsurely. "Why are you telling me?"

"Because you're the only thing close to a girl that I can go to!" Kadi cried against my shoulder, practically sobbing. I patted her back awkwardly, not letting the "closest thing to a girl" comment get to me.

"Okay, I can honestly say I have no idea what's the matter with you," I said. "What was the last thing you ate? It could just be food poisoning."

"I haven't eaten anything in, like, four days now. Everything makes me want to hurl!"

"Er, have you considered it's your period?"

"I haven't had that either!"

"We should see the school nurse... Like now. After we get you a gallon of Sunny D."

"No! No! No! Oh, my grandpa's gonna kill me... And Scottie, too!" Kadi groaned.

4 days later~

"Hi, how are ya? I'm pregnant!" Kadi said in a chipper tone as she and I walked down the halls. Latvia just mumbled something in reply and skittered away as fast as he could manage.

"Sera!" Scotland called, more like yelled, as he ran down the hall. I let out a loud "Ooof!" as he collided with my backside and sent us both to the linoleum. I groaned and pushed him off without warning.

"Come on, Allistor, what was that for?" I muttered, and he apologized as he got up and offered a hand up to me.

"Ah, sorry, lass. Sera, what is this I've been hearin' about you?" he demanded of his fiance.

"What, that I'm pregnant or that I'm getting fat?" Kadi asked dopily. "Shhhh! Don't tell Allie that I'm afraid to tell him~"

Allistor facepalmed briefly before grabbing her wrist. "Sera, why didn't you tell me?"

"Because... Be-Because... " She broke out into sobs and clung to his shirt front. "I was afraid you'd be mad at me! Even if it is all your fault!"

Allistor put a hand to his forehead in annoyance before patting her back, rubbing it in slow circles. "I'm not mad, Sera, I just wish you'd told me before the rest of the world knew about it, aye?"

"I'm sooorryyy!" she wailed. "I just didn't want to tell you because you'd be upset!"

"Ugh, I just said I wasn't, didn't I?" It was then that I decided to escape, but I was spotted and hauled back by the collar of my shirt. "Not so fast, lass. I have a special job for ya."

"Such as...?" I asked nervously.

"Keep her out of trouble, aye? She's gonna have mood swings off the charts, and you're just the person to know how to deal with those."

"If you're talking about my periods, then that's not a good basis to go on for your logic," I countered. "I don't know how to control them or myself!"

"Aye, but you're a girl, so you can handle it better than I could. Have fun!" Then he was gone.

"Bleeder... Buggering git... Why am I using British curse words?" I wondered aloud as I grumbled angrily. I looked to Kadi, who was happy again and watching the ceiling.

"The sky... it's purple with... green dragons..." she stated, and I grabbed her hand to take her back to her room.

"Come on, you need to lie down." Just a little note here for you all: there weren't any windows or skylights from which Kadi could see the sky, which wasn't in any way purple with green dragons. Sorry to get your hopes up.
