I sighed as Toni got in the passenger seat and typed her address into the satnav, "Hey by the way I forgot to mention it earlier but you've gotta come in for an interview on Monday."

"Who's conducting the interview?"

"My boss but I'll have to be there too." She said, strapping herself in.

I sighed, "Alright. I'm just warning you though, I don't remember much."

She placed her hand on my thigh in reassurance, "That's okay, every little helps." She smiled.

Okay, Tesco.

The car ride to her place was quiet and it gave me time to doubt my reliability.

So much so, that I actually forgot our date was coming to an end.

"Lorelai?" She called out.

"Huh? Sorry..." I shook the thoughts out of my head.

"Do you wanna come inside?"

I looked down at the satnav as I pulled into a dimly lit street.

"Damn, we're here already?" I mumbled earning a laugh from Toni.

"Time goes quick when you're having a good time and believe me," She lowered her voice, "I'm a great time."

"Oh?"

As soon as I parked up she got out, "You coming?" She called behind her.

As much as I would love to drive off for a laugh, I really don't want this night to end.

I practically fell out of the driver's seat, stumbling after her in awe.

She left her front door open like she knew I was going to follow her.

I closed the door behind me and followed the sound of her faint footsteps.

I'm so glad she lives alone.

"Took you long enough." She smirked, pouring two glasses of wine and handing me one.

She watched me as I took a sip, humming in content, "My favourite."

"I know." She grinned smugly.

"What? How?" I said shocked.

She walked around me and sat down on her couch, "You know, that brother of yours tells me all the gossip."

"When I get my hands on that man..." I muttered in annoyance.

"I'd much rather you come over here and put your hands on me." She said mindlessly as she drank from her glass.

I swear to god this woman is gonna be the death of me...

Still mildly annoyed, I made my way over to her and sat a reasonable distance away from her.

I gotta have some level of self-control.

She noticed my decision and smirked, "That bad huh?"

"Shut up." I blushed, trying not to smile.

"So what else did my idiot brother tell you?" I crossed my arms.

"Oh not much, just that you snore and you wake up really grumpy." She shrugged in amusement.

My jaw dropped in shock, "Okay that is such bullshit."

"I guess I'll be the judge of that." She said with a playful glint in her eye.

I raised my eyebrow at her, "And when are you supposedly getting the opportunity to judge it?"

"Tonight." She said confidently.
