Walkingdown the street heading back to your place, you groaned in boredom when you read Mina's text saying that she'll be working overtime and won't be back til the next day.
Looking up at the night sky, you mumbled, "seems like another me-time on a Friday, as usual."
As you take your steps, your mind drifts off to a particular dual-quirked employer. It's been two months since you've been working as his personal assistant.
You can't help but feel tingly from his presence or at the thought of him, yet you wish you had the guts to ask him why he hired you when he did some unexpected actions among them was kissing you on the night you both met and all the other things he did that Mina deducted it as his way of flirting through his instincts because he's never done it before.
From what you know, he isn't the type to play with girls, no matter how popular he is. It's a good thing but also a little worrying because she isn't one to always encounter being kissed on the night you both met as a process of flirting.
I bet he's as clueless as I am. You thought to yourself since you recalled Mina's stories about him being so indifferent and sometimes his actions are often misunderstood.
"A guy like him is dangerous for my heart." You sighed.
Speaking of danger, just then, a scream pierced through the silent night and it alerted your senses. It sounded like a woman's voice. Other pedestrians were on their toes and stopped in their tracks as well. Another scream sounded and this time, you followed the sound while you whip out your phone to call Shoto.
The pro hero picked up after the first tone.
📱On Call📱
"Yes, (y/n)?" His deep voice answered on the line.
"Shoto!" The urgency in your tone instantly made the man perk up.
"You're out of breath. Did something happen to you?"
You gulped catching your breath as you continued to follow the sound of struggle as you walked forward. "No, but um . . . I think a civilian is in trouble. I heard a scream while walking back home." You sent him the location mid-conversation.
"Send me your current location. I'll be there soon. You move to a crowded place," he informed. You could hear shuffling in the background, which means he was on the move.
"The voice sounds like a woman's so, I'll try to find her and-".
"No," Shoto answered firmly, "I want you to stay safe around places where there are cameras or even just a crowd. Do not get involved."
