"Takemichi!"

"U-Uwah?!" The aforementioned teen snapped out of his daze, quickly waking up.

"Are you okay? Did you get any sleep last night?" A feminine voice asked.

"Yeah dude. You were totally dozing off for a second there." Another voice commented.

The blonde turned to meet the sources of the two voices, and they belonged to none other than his two best friends...

Hinata Tachibana, who sat at a desk next to him.

And Atsushi Sendo, or as he preferred to be called, Akkun, sitting at the desk in front of Hinata.

Both of them were looking at him with curiosity and a hint of worry.

"Ah! S-sorry you guys." Takemichi apologized sheepishly with a yawn, "I guess I must've fallen asleep during physics again." He deduced, scratching his head.

"You definitely did, man. Though I can't say I blame you." Akkun replied, "Physics can be a bore sometimes. Especially with the teacher we've got." The plum haired teen joked with a chuckle.

"*Sigh* As much I'd like to scold you for that remark, I can't say you're wrong." The pinkette known as Hinata reluctantly agreed, "Mr. Hanamura can make it pretty hard to pay attention with how often he drags his lessons on." She commented with a bit of shame.

Akkun couldn't help but snicker at the mention of 'slow'. Although he quickly remembered why they he and Hinata had woken their friend up.

"More importantly," He started, getting both of their attention, "Let's hurry up and go, you guys! We need to get to homeroom so we can listen to Mr. Hanazawa's announcement!" He reminded them.

"Oh yeah!" Hinata uttered in remembrance before patting Takemichi on the back, "C'mon, Takemichi! Let's go!" She urged.

"Alright alright, I'm coming!" He hastily followed as the trio walked out of the classroom along with the other departing students.

...

"Out of all the things I expected them to announce, a field trip to a science exhibit definitely wasn't too high on the list." Takemichi stated as he exited the homeroom.

When the blonde teen and his two friends, along with the rest of their classmates, had entered the class, their homeroom teacher, Mr. Hanazawa, gave the announcement that the school had decided to organize a field trip for its 2nd years.

Why only the 2nd years, you ask?

But anyways, the place in question that the students would be taken to was none other than a science exhibit.

This announcement pleased some people.

Keyword, "some", because most of the students groaned at this revelation or rolled their eyes.

Takemichi himself couldn't say for sure if he was satisfied or disappointed.

He didn't care for Science that much, although he did kinda like Physics, but it didn't mean he was terrible at it.

Well, he was. Back when he was younger.
