I head back to the dormitories to get my stuff. I look in the window on the door first to make sure no one is in there. I don't want to encounter Peter again. Empty.
Since I don't have that much stuff, I can pack it all into one bag. I start to head to mine and Tobias's apartment.
As I'm walking down the hall and getting the key he gave me earlier out of my pocket, someone grabs be from behind by my waiste.
By instinct, I elbow them in the face and kick them in the groin.
I hear a grunt, and a Tobias. "Ouch Tris,"
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I just thought you were Peter or something!" I apologize.
Still cringing, he smiles, "I should've known better. It's my fault,"
"Are you ok though? Do you need to go to the infirmary?" I ask worryingly.
"Nah, I'll be fine." He replies.
All he has is a cut on his eyebrow.
"Ok," I say.
He grabs my hand like nothing happened and we go to our apartment.
Once we get in the apartment we go sit on the couch and start talking.
"Uriah asked me to go to his party, but I don't want to go unless you're going." I say.
"Yeah I will, he asked me too." He replies.
"Do you know why we should wear layers? He told me that I should." I ask, confused.
He smiles, and lightly chuckles. He replies, "Candor or Dauntless,"
Still confused, I ask, "What's that?"
"In 'Chicago' it was called truth or dare. Basically, someone asks you 'Candor or Dauntless', if you choose Candor, you have to honestly answer a question. If you choose Dauntless, you have to do a dare they say. If you don't want to answer the question or answer the dare, you have to take off an article of clothing." He explains.
"Ok," I say, and then I think. Does he want to go to this party? What if people ask him about his past? So I ask him, "Tobias, do you really want to go? We don't have to if you don't want to. I mean, if we play Candor or Dauntless, what if people ask about your past?"
"It's ok, besides, you can't miss out on your first party!" He says, I giggle.
"Anyway, I brought my stuff, I don't have that much," I say.
"Great!" He sounds really happy.
"Here," I follow him into his bedroom and he opens the closet and slides his shirts over to one side of the closet.
"Thanks," I smile at him.
For the next half hour we unpack, but mostly talk.
"I should probably get ready," I say when we're done.
"Yeah," he says.
I grab some extra layer clothes and go into the bathroom and shut the door. I can't change in front of Tobias yet, I'm not ready for that yet. And it pains me inside that I have such a stupid fear. He's amazing, he deserves someone who can make him happy. I'll talk to him later, but now I just want to have fun.
