"You are a vampire?" I asked stating the obvious.
"Yes." He simply replied.
"Is everyone around me a vampire?" I asked breathlessly.
"Most, but if it helps your friend's Chink, Binky and Reece aren't well Their something else " he answered. I wondered what he meant by that. Theirs more than vampires?
"Oh" I simply stated.
"Are you scared of me?" he asked, his voice cold and quiet. For the first time in the whole conversation I turned round to face him. His face was as pale as snow and his eyes the same shade of golden as Louis'.
"No" I revealed.
"You should be" he stated.
"I know" I added.
"Why aren't you scared of me Bailey? If I would have told any other human this, they would be running off into the sunset right now. Why aren't you?" he asked.
"I don't know, I just have this feeling that you won't hurt me" I commented.
"It's not that I won't hurt you, it's that I can't hurt you" he responded.
"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion.
"Something about you just stops me, it's almost like you have a spell on you to stop me from killing you" he explained. "I have never wanted anyone's blood as much as I want yours in my whole five hundred and seventeen years of existence, something in your blood is different to other humans, you're smell drives vampires insane. It will attract vampires , it will make vampires come to you, it could be what either makes you stronger or could be what eventually kills you"
"Why am I different to everyone else?" I asked almost scared of the answer.
"I've done my research on you Bailey. Your mum, she was a very powerful witch." he told me.
"A-A witch?" I stuttered.
"Not the type that you see in films Bailey. A witch to find nowadays are very hard to find, your mother was one of the only few left" he explained looking deep into my eyes.
"But-but if she was a witch couldn't she have stopped herself from dying in that car crash couldn't she?" I spoke out loud.
"She didn't die in that car crash Bailey. She died from something else and that's the thing I can't figure out, how did she die and why did she leave you with this power that you have over vampires?" he spoke to himself rather than me.
"She what?" I gasped.
"I've already told you enough Bailey, your brother should tell you the rest." He told me.
"Louis knows?" I asked tears clouding my vision. I didn't know what was happening a few days ago my life was completely normal, now? My life was like something you read about in books. My life was now practically a horror movie in itself.
"He knows probably a lot more than I know Bailey" he revealed.
"Why didn't he tell me about any of this stuff?" I cried.
"That's for you to ask him about" he told me.
"Thank you for telling me this Niall, I would never have known if you haven't have told me. Louis would have avoided the conversation and I would have never heard it" I smiled weakly.
"Its fine" I simply responded. "Would you like me to take you home?" he asked.
"Erm if you are sure" I responded unsurely. Something about Niall made me trust him, I know it probably wasn't very good for me to trust him but I do.
He nodded his head "It's getting quite dark and it's not safe for you to be out here by yourself, keep that in mind next time you want to go on a walk by yourself, the woods is the easiest place for them to get you"
"Okay then sure, but you might want to get away before Louis sees you" I giggled lightly.
"I like your laugh" he smiled.
"I've never seen you smile" I pointed out.
"I don't smile very often, there isn't much for me to smile about" he stated. "You don't have to worry about Louis, I'm a lot stronger than him" he told me as we began walking down the path that he was leading me on.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I am older, he has only been a vampire for a couple months. I have been a vampire for hundreds of years however he is a lot stronger than he should be at his age" he explained.
"Why?" I asked.
"I think it's because he has your mother's blood in him, it must make him stronger" he stated.
"Oh, I see"
"You will have to excuse the guys, they have been wondering what the smell has been in town all week. Just remember, they can't hurt you." He stated.
"Right" I added as I began playing with my fingers. I was scared of what these boys would be like, I felt like I knew Niall and that I could trust him but I didn't know about these boys.
"Oh Niall, is this the girl you have been talking about all week?" I heard a boy shout from the house that I saw in the distance. I saw Niall tense up next to me.
"Shut up Luke" he shouted. I felt Niall grab my hand. His hand was freezing but the butterflies in my stomach made me forget about it. He led me to his car and made me get into the passenger seat. He quickly got to the other side at the speed of light then we drove off.
"Do you not like your friends?" I asked.
"I hate them at times but I need them to survive so what can I do?" he mumbled.
The rest of the small journey I spent just looking out the window watching the world pass by trying to forget about my problems, I couldn't run away from them now.
If you told me a couple of days ago that I was in the car with a vampire, living with vampires and my brother being a vampire, I would have told you that you were completely deluded, but now it's something I am going to have to deal with everyday. Facing death every day.
"Here" Niall announced as we pulled up outside my house.
"Thank you, wait! How did you know I lived here?" I asked confused.
"I told you Bailey, I did my research" he stated.
"I'll see you tomorrow then?" I asked.
"Most definitely" he spoke. "Goodbye Bailey" he said as he drove off.
"Goodbye Niall" I whispered to myself.
My life just got a whole lot more interesting.
