Chapter 33 Once in a Blue Moon

Octavia Pov

Lincoln and I were both staring at each other and then noticed that Bellamy and Clarke's bracelets were glowing. Lincoln pointed to mine and it had a faint glow but not nearly as bright as theirs.

"If they say the moon is Blue we must believe that it is true." Lexa chants softly a thoughtful look on her face.

"It would seem the SkaiKru are blessed. It is a good omen" Andu comments quietly giving me a glance.

Lexa shakes herself, smiles then claps her hands and nods to the drummers signalling for the festival to continue.

Somehow I don't think the smile reached her eyes, but I didn't have time to think about it.

We are hugged by those closest to us while everyone else heads away to either eat, drink, or dance.

It wasn't long until the boys were dragged off to sample the new wine Monty created while Clarke and I were dancing with Raven and the girls.

When the moon rose fully in the sky I looked up and gasped. "Look!" I pointed to the moon.

It was the largest moon I had ever seen and it actually was blue!

Whispers of beautiful and how pretty were murmured throughout the camp. Mostly by our people as it was new to us. The blue glow reminded me of the butterflies I saw my first night on earth.

After the initial surprise of the moon wore off everyone started to drift off to their beds to sleep off the hangovers that were sure to be present in the morning.

Lincoln and I bid good night to Bell and Clarke and headed to our cabin. As we pass Indra she nods giving me an oddly piercing look. I slip into a vision without warning.

I can see the cabin Lincoln and I share come into focus. It is dark so it must be night.

Indra and I are arguing quietly with Lincoln standing next to me.

"Octavia I am telling you be careful, you can't trust her! She is worried they are a threat to her. You know what she does to threats! "

"But I still don't understand...." I start

"And I don't have time to explain. I will be in danger if she finds out I warned you ! She can't touch you, you have the sight and it is forbidden to harm anyone with the sight. Warning you is all the help I can promise. "

"We understand" Lincoln grips her arm in goodbye.

"Keep your inner eye open and watch out for your brother and Clarke. Eyes open mouths quiet. "
With that she turns and sneaks away under the cover of night.

When I snap out of it Indra is no where to be seen but Andu is staring hard at me.

Heed the warning Skai girl

Ok did I really just hear that?

I shake my head as if to clear it and just like Indra, Andu was no where to be seen.

Clarke POV

When I yawn, Bellamy grabs my hand and whispers in my ear, "Come on Princess, I think I have shared you enough for tonite."
I smirk at him and allow myself to be led back to our cabin, saying our goodnight's along the way.
The minute we are near the cabin I feel the ground suddenly tilt and the next thing I know Bellamy has picked me up and is carrying me through the door.

"Bellamy!" I scold, laughing in spite of myself.

He carries me straight to our room and sets me gently on my feet while he goes to grab some candles.

While he is gone I study the bracelet on my wrist. The stone is beautiful, luminescent. It almost has a life of its own. The glowing has stopped but as Bell returns it is as if the stone gets brighter somehow.

Like the Moonstone is happy he is here.

Well, I'm happy Bell is here.

Before I can dwell on it further I can feel Bell's arms circle my waist as he plants a kiss behind my ear. I lean into him and he sighs.

"I love you Bell"

"I love you too Princess"

As I turn in his arms to look at him he stares in my eyes, "You have the most gorgeous eyes..."

"You just aren't used to seeing me all cleaned up." I smile at him but, he is already shaking his head cupping my face in his hands.

"Your eyes were the first thing I ever noticed about you" he says placing a gentle kiss on each eye as he says it, followed by my nose, then my forehead.

"Princess? "

"Hmm?"

"As beautiful as you look in that dress I think it's time we get you out of it" he says, voice husky and I immediately feel my cheeks flush in his hands.

He feels my cheeks grow warm and smiles before he kisses me.

When Bellamy and I finally fall asleep my dreams are strange and restless.

I keep hearing a voice saying heed the warning Skai girl.

I see Indra arguing with me, no, not me, Octavia. I can't hear the words though...

I awake with a start to see the bracelet is glowing again.

What the hell? What warning?
Ugh, I have such a headache and I did not even have any moonshine! Maybe the radiation is finally getting to me.

I throw on my clothes and decide to get a little air. I am careful not to wake Bellamy.
Octavia POV

When Andu had told me that the Blue moon would amplify my ability to see she failed to mention that I might not get any sleep! I stifle a groan, my head throbbing.
I could so use an aspirin right now.

I look down to see my bracelet is glowing again.
Screw this I need a walk.

I get dressed and head out into the moonlight.

When I step out into the still night air I hear a soft rustling noise coming from the direction of my brother's cabin. I look over and Clarke catches my eye with a strange look on her face and her bracelet glowing on her wrist, pulsing in rhythm to mine.

As we walk towards each other I raise my left hand palm facing her and she mirrors my motion without saying a word. When our palms touch the stones glow brighter for an instant then return to normal except for a faint shimmer.

As I stare at her blue eyes for a moment in shock I realize we both share our father's eyes.

Maybe that is not the only thing we share. My head has stopped throbbing and I rub my temple as a reflex action.

I think I should tell Clarke about my vision

She answers my unspoken thought rubbing her head. "Yes I think you should"

" ! ! ! ?"
