It had turned pitch black out there, but luckily, the night had been lit up with the colorful lights of Tokyo. The weather greeted the night, with a slightly, harsh blowing wind.

Right above the tall, colorful buildings, a young woman soared through the skies, with a communication device in her ears. As she looked down, anxiously at the buildings, she pressed the comm, directly into her ear.

"Come in, Alexander." She said, as her blonde hair kept swinging around, due to the wind.

She was young, but showed some signs of weaknesses during her flight. Her unique physical appearance, had always been the definition of beauty.

This couldn't be possible. The blonde hair, the white smooth skin; this woman couldn't be:

"Yes, Toga." Alexander finally responded "I told you, my name is Revolution now."

"Whatever." Toga rolled her eyes "I'm getting nearer. Which particular building are you guys holding the meeting?"

"Reborn and I are not there." Revolution told her "It's just some S rated Lyraxes. Takumi and his clan are already there. The meeting is being held at an abandoned house, near that ramen shop Reborn likes so much. Let's hope this would all be a success."

"Sure." Toga said, with a sigh, and Revolution finally hang up.

Toga's mind was taken back, 19 years ago. What a flashback it was, at a time like this. But she'd missed those days where she'd wreak havoc with Vortex, and plan their way through the Lyrax Terminators' defenses. Now, the Terminators have multiplied, and they have relaxed, under the impression that Lyraxes these days were few and weak. And Humans had been thrown into a false sense of safety.

Where had she ended? Or rather, where had she started?

It was like all of a sudden, Toga was reliving her past:

***

The ground was bare, and the sorrowful color of the atmosphere was filled with a mild fog.

On the ground was a round force field, and in it was a Lyrax. The Lyrax had been suspended in the air, unconsciously, and blood oozed out of its nose. In fact, these round force fields were all over the place, about billions of them; some floating in the air, some halfway into the ground, and others right on the surface of the ground.

Each and every one of the force fields had not only unconscious Lyraxes in them, but unconscious Terminators also in them. Some Terminators had blood oozing out of their nose, depicting the fact that they were already dead. On the other hand, most Lyraxes were already dead.

Then at once, the force fields disappeared. Those that were dead, just fell to the ground, giving up their lifeless bodies back to the soil. Those that weren't dead, rose back to their feet, looking around in confusion and amazement.

At this point, for some fortunate seconds, Lyraxes and Terminators stood on one battleground.

No fighting.
No killing.
No cursing.

This was after the battle between the descendants of Shida. When Tyler had sacrificed himself for the defeat of Vortex. As a result of Vortex's death, the force fields he created, which could slowly kill any being lacking the required amount of energy, disappeared.

Toga was one of the few Lyraxes that had survived, and she stood near Amanda, who'd activated her beautiful metallic wings.

"What just happened?" She wondered, looking around for Amado, her brother.

Just then, the four elemental clan heads approached the gathering from afar, in the sky. They stopped when they were right above them. This was the first time the elemental clan heads had revealed themselves to the Terminators. Till this day, the elemental clans had been in hiding, isolating themselves away from the World.

"I thought Vortex had killed all the elemental clan heads." Toga wondered, with a gasp.

"The Lyrax King has finally been defeated!" Master Kohaku suddenly announced, so loud that it reached the farthest ears.

There was a loud, shout of joy from all the Terminators that'd survived. Loud enough to force the skies to clear up. The Lyraxes had finally been defeated, and the war was finally over!

"This is a lie." Toga whispered to herself "Vortex can't be defeated."

And at once, noticing their inevitable defeat, all the Lyraxes started to flee, running towards the forest where Yamanaka Sensei, the last original air manipulator, and the former Sensei of Lyte had been killed.

"Don't let them escape!" Lady Jenna yelled, creating a frozen bow and arrow in her arm.

She quickly shot them through the heart of three Lyraxes.

With a loud war cry, the Terminators immediately took off after the Lyraxes, determined to chase them to the ends of the Earth.

Master Reingyoku finally lifted his arms, and a humongous ball, full of white ki appeared above him. He jerked his arms down, and the huge ball shot down, after the Lyraxes.

Toga just stood, unable to decide what to do. After some seconds, she also took off, towards the forest. Unfortunately for her, the huge ball of white ki landed on some Lyraxes a few metres away from her, and there was a very wide ranged explosion, which caused huge cracks in the ground.

Toga didn't know what happened next, but when she woke up, the first thing she saw was Amado, and Master Kohaku. They stood a long distance away from her, but they were still within sight.

"No." Toga muttered, forcing her body to her feet.

A lava dome appeared behind Master Kohaku, floating in the air. Amado could barely stand, and his body was wrapped up by deep wounds.

But before he died, Amado turned and spotted Toga from afar, and gave her a warm smile. And with that, a huge blast of lava shot out of the lava dome and hit Amado until his upper body melted off, leaving his legs only.

"No!!!" Toga screamed as tears slid down her eyes.

The next thing Toga could remember, was falling on her knees, in front of a swift river, holding a sickle in her arm. She wept and wept, causing her tears to fall into the river, making her reflection ripple with every drop.

"I'm sorry." She apologized to the thin air, with a shaking voice "But I'm done."

She pointed the sickle at her neck, and sighed deeply.

Luckily, a stretched arm stopped her, right before she made her move, and she lowered her arms. She looked to her left, only to see Alexander right beside her, with a warm smile.

"Why? Tell me why?" Toga said, as tears slid down "I just want to know . . . why?"

"Did Master Vortex ever teach you to give up?" Alexander asked her "No. We're not giving up. We'll start all over and make this right." He gave Toga a tight hug "I promise."

***

The flash back forced some tears out of Toga's eyes, and as she flew through the sky, she wiped them off, and told herself:

"I survived for a reason. We'll make those Terminators pay. I'll make sure of that. Then, and only then, can I avenge my brother's death."

Toga finally landed from the sky, onto the ground, and headed towards the warehouse, where she was to meet the Black ki clan.
