[THE NEXT DAY]

Nick:
Once I get on the train, I sigh in relief. I barely slept last night, how could I? I was riding the high of the date Charlie and I had and was too excited to be tired. By the time I actually got tired, it was time to get ready or I'd miss the train. I look at my phone and see that I have several messages. First my group chat with Will, Michael and Erin.

Will: YOU BETTER NOT MISS THAT TRAIN NICK
Michael: WE HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN OVER TWO WEEKS
Erin: SEVERE NICK WITHDRAWALS OVER HERE!!!

I laugh and begin to type.

Nick: LOL i'm on the train guys!!
Michael: YESSSSSSS
Will: What time are you getting in?
Nick: Should be there in an hour. Going to stop at the hotel to see Mum before heading to you guys. Where are we meeting? Will's?
Erin: Sounds good!! can't wait to see you!
Will: Erin, you see us everyday.. I mean, I know we're great but...
Erin: NOT YOU MORONS! Only Nick :p
Michael: MORONS?! OFFENDED!
Nick: See you guys soon (and you are ALL morons, just my morons)

I then look at my Mum's message

Mum: Let me know when you're on the train. You're always late so I just worry you missed it!
Nick: haha on the train Mum! see you soon.

As soon as I put my phone down, it goes off again.

Charlie: Hope you have a good day today with your friends :)
Nick: Excited to see them, it's going to be a great day
Nick: Definitely not as great as yesterday though :)
Charlie: Yeah...
Charlie: When are we doing that again?
Nick: Charlie Spring, are you asking me on a date?
Charlie: Maybe :p
Charlie: My parents are going away next weekend so it's just going to me and James; thought maybe you would want to come over so I can take a whack at being the one who plans a date lol
Nick: Does Sunday work? My birthday is actually on Friday and my friends are coming into town Friday night and leaving Sunday morning.
Charlie: YOUR BIRTHDAY?
Charlie: Okay, so Sunday is a date and birthday celebrations?
Nick: That sounds perfect :) 
Nick: I was also going to see if you, James and Mia wanted to come over Saturday too; meet my friends?
Charlie: um YES

I smile as I put my phone down. The train pulls into the station and I grab my bag and walk out to find Mum waiting for me.

"I told you I'd meet you at the hotel!" I say as I walk over and hug her.
"Nonsense! I figured you'd need someone to drive you to Will's."

I look at her confused.

"He texted me asking to bring you straight there because you see me everyday. That boy is ridiculous," she says, laughing.

I shake my head but smile. It feels good to be back here. We get into the car and begin driving to Will's.

"So how was your day yesterday?"
"Normal," I say, trying to hide the smile from my face.
"You can hide the smile but you can't hide your face turning red," she jokes.
"Just had a date, that's all," I say nonchalantly. 
"Oh, really? With that boy from the Milkshake Cafe you were all smiley about the day we moved?"
"How about I tell you about him if we have a second date?" I say, trying to protect Charlie's secret.

I already know my friends are going to HOUND me with questions. I know Charlie told James I was gay, but still, I just don't think it's my secret to tell. I pick up my phone and text Charlie.

Nick: Hey. I have a question and please answer honestly
Charlie: ...okay?
Nick: So my friends, well, mostly my best friend Will, are definitely going to ask about you
Charlie: They know about me?
Nick: I may have mentioned to Will that I met a cute guy at the Milkshake Cafe my first day in town....
Charlie: Oh really? (;
Nick: And I haven't discussed it since. But Will is very ...persistent?
Charlie: Sounds like James lol
Nick: Very much so, haha. But I was just .... 
Nick: If they ask..
Charlie: Um..
Charlie: I guess it's only fair. I told James and Mia about you.
Nick: I KNEW YOU TOLD MIA TOO!
Charlie: LOL if you trust them, you can tell them. I trust your judgement.
