Y/N POV: Today was my first day at NYU. I can't lie, i was really nervous but i had to push through it anyway. I chose 5 subjects; Creative Writing, Physics, Criminology, Maths and Russian. My family spoke Russian along side English so I knew quite a bit of it. I had lessons Tuesday - Saturday, the days usually beginning at 9:00am and ending at 3:30pm. I had moved here from Russia itself so i was still getting used to how things worked here, i was fortunate to know English or it would have been 10x harder.
I walked into my dorm bags in my hands and jet lagged from the flight here. When i walked in half of the dorm was decorated with pictures and fairy lights hanging from the ceiling.

I put my things in my bed when a brunette haired girl walked in from the bathroom. I guessed she was my roommate. "Hi! You must be my roommate, my name is Wanda it's nice to meet you." I had always struggled with communication so i waved and gave her a shy smile before starting to unpack my things. I hung art work on my wall and spread vines around the ceiling.

Wanda and I had pretty similar taste so our room decor collided nicely. We spoke a bit as i set up but not much however i knew we would get closer. She seemed like a friendly and open girl which i liked. Once i had set my room up i got my laptop and opened my emails, i had one email from my Russian professor:
"Hello students, I would like to inform you that as there was so many applications for this years Russian class I would like you to take a simple test so i can look at what you already know. *attachment one link* Thank you, Professor Romanoff "
The test was pretty simple with words like "hello, goodbye, family, i like, i love." I finished it quickly before sending it off again. Me and Wanda decided on ordering pizza as we binge watched stranger things on Netflix. We went to sleep around 10:30pm after setting an alarm from 07:30am the next morning. It was hard to fall asleep as my nerves were getting the better of me but i eventually did forgetting about it.
