La'Paris sat at his desk with his hand resting on his short beard just thinking about Serena.
He couldn't get her out of his head since today would be the first day to prove that he was actually changing. He was doing something different which made him nervous, but he needed to forget about his old relationship and focus on his new one. He needed more loyalty, trust, and effort so it wouldn't be one sided anymore. He needed to be the other 50% but he was giving 0 only leaving Serena with full 100% which was unfair to her so he needed to change so their relationship could continue.
"Yo boss man some dude here ta' see you and G said he finna head out ta' go check on his girl" he said as La'Paris stood up seeing a familiar man coming into his office.
"Get out my shit" La'Paris gritted seeing his father standing in front of him with a smile.
"I just wanna talk son" he said stepping closer to him.
"Man ion wanna talk get out my shit" he repeated causing his father to laugh.
"You think you run something? Nigga I'm 10 times stronger than yo' ass you can't out beat me" he said with a smirk.
"That's what you believe its been years since I seen yo' ass and ian' tryna see you so get out my shit"
"Ight all imma say is keep yo' head down and yo' eyes up" he warned leaving his sons office taking his people with him.
He was heavy in the game since he was 14 years old and never thought about getting out with or without a wife and a son he wasn't stopping what he was doing because they felt a way so he kept on until he got arrested at 23 for drug charges, police assault and a gun charge getting locked away for 35 years.
La'Paris hasn't had a father figure since leaving him confused most of the time on how to treat a women his mom taught his the do's and dont's but she couldn't teach him how to be a man.
He knew his mother did a good job and he couldn't doubt that, but he had to learn HOW to become on his own which was hard but he was still learning and would accomplish it.
Serena sat down in her bed throwing the doctors paper beside her placing her hands on her forehead.
She was officially diagnosed with Leukemia and she honestly didn't know what to do or say about it she was just in pure shock she didn't want to tell anybody, she didn't want a different treatment from anyone or any pitty from them she was still normal and wanted it to continue being that way.
She just picked up Semaj from school taking him to his first football practice by himself he wanted to feel like a 'big boy' so he told her to let him stay on his own.
She finished all her work already one week ahead on her new assignments she was ready to graduate and to find a new job that actually benefited her.
Today she's spoken to Nadia, Kianna and a short conversation with La'Paris about tonight before she visited her grandma's grave having a small conversation with her before going home and showering to get ready for her night out with La'Paris later on.
Semaj took a breath seeing his coach already giving him a look he knew he could do it but Semaj kept getting intimidated by the other kids since they were a bit taller than him and more aggressive.
