Tommy tried hard to look past the fact that Techno was (soon? he didn't quite know for sure when) going to blow up L'manburg. He would refer to it as his nation, but he couldn't call it that anymore.

Techno and Dream, in all of their toxic glory, were right about one thing. He wasn't on L'manburg's side.

But that didn't necessarily mean he was on Technos side either.

He convinced himself that he was still caring for him, and he even said that Tommy could sit out if he wanted. So the boy had nothing else to choose but to be protected by the stronger man.

"Techno?"

"Wha- Tommy? What are you doing up? It's like five in the morning." Techno tiredly rubbed his eyes, looking over at the blocked doorway.

"I- I know, it's just..I didn't want to be alone. Like the- the thoughts and the last time I..you know." Tommy admitted shamefully. "I mean, I can- I don't have to-"

"Just get in here." Techno shifted in his bed, creating enough room for the boy to lay comfortably with him. Tommy was surprised, but came running up to the side of his bed to stay.

"Wil is so hearing about this." He snickered under his breath.

"Do not tell Wilbur. He would talk to Phil and I will get humiliated." Techno sucked air in through his teeth, laughing quietly.

"Fuck Phil! Your turning soft." Tommy openly laughed with him, taunting the man. He lied his head down gently on the pillow, resting his brain.

"I am not. I will kick you out." Techno joked. He looked over to see the kid, only finding him to have his eyes closed, in the dark it looked like he was asleep.

"No you wouldn't, bitch." Tommy spat with a chuckle, opening his eyes after feeling Techno's stare. The older just shook his head and rolled back over to his previous spot on the side of the bed.

"Goodnight, Theseus." He mumbled out of his pillow.

"'Night, Tech."

"Tech?"

"Shut the actual fuck up and sleep."

Techno felt bad when he got up. It was earlier than normal, thanks to the child, and he didn't actually want to wake him up. He was so peaceful, Techno just had to stay lying down. He did his best not to move.

"Techno? Are you awake?" He heard a whisper from behind him, causing him to flinch a little at the sudden noise.

"Tommy, why are you awake?" Techno yawned a bit, snuggling closer into his blanket sleepily.

"I didn't sleep." Tommy snorted, leaving Techno with a shocked expression, in return leaving Tommy a little confused.

"Meaning you have been just sitting there for the last few hours while I slept?" Techno was in awe, feeling for the boy.

"Meh, I haven't slept much in the past few months anyways. Sides you make weird noise when you sleep." Tommy giggled, putting his arms over his eyes.

"I do not. You are lying." He disagree, denying him the pleasure of being right.

"Well..the sky's awake so I'm awake!" Tommy flapped his arms above his head, hiding the bed post. Techno rolled onto his back to look at the boy.

"Was that suppose to be a Frozen reference?" Techno scoffed, unbelieving. There was a little moment of silence where Tommy just smiled at him, before he burst into laughter.
