Envy is a propensity to view the well-being of others with distress, even though it does not detract from one's own. Envy is a negative feeling of desire centered on someone who has something that you do not. Envy is pain at the good fortune of others. Envy. Envy, envy, envy. What is it? It's longing for better fortune. Longing to the point of pain.

I blinked I was laying on the ground. I had tripped coming through the portal I stood shaking my head as Clover and Dak came through
"Get down!" Vinter yelled dropping to the ground I did the same
"Who're you?" someone with a British accent said
"None of your business" Vinter replied
"I think it is. You're in my field," they said Vinter got up and so did I feeling quite silly laying on the ground
"I'm Javinter Vah. the Devil's servant and eternally tormented with horrid luck." Vinter said
"Oh, damn. That must suck. I'm Ash. I'm a transgender pansexual farmer." Ash said
"You what?" Vinter asked confused
"Wow, you really do live under a rock don't you? Physically and Metaphorically" Ash said grinning
"No!" Vinter growled
"Oh, well then let me make myself clearer." Ash said
"I. AM. A. TRANSGENDER. PANSEXUAL. FARMER." Ash said slowly as though if he said it any faster vinter was going to be confused
"I heard you, I just don't understand what that is." Vinter said, giving Ash a "bruh." look
"Oh." Ash said, blinking in realization.
"Well, I'm Transgender. This means I switch gender. And I'm pansexual which means I like men, women, and non-binary. I also Identify as they/them." Ash explained
"Also, random question, are you gay? You look gay." ash said to him
"What- no! I'm straight!" Vinter said
"Mhmm, sure. That's code for "I'm in the closet and I'm confused" right?" Ash asked
"No!" Vinter said, he wasn't facing me but his ears were kinda red.
"Mhmm, Liar," Ash said muttering the last part
"Whatever. Can you just lead us to an important person? Anyone will do" Vinter said
"Wait what?" I asked
"Trust me I know what I'm doing." He said
"You sure about that gay boy?" Ash asked.
"I'M NOT- yes. I'm sure." Vinter growled
"I'd just give it up. I can tell your gay. Your crush can probably tell your gay, everyone can tell your gay." Ash said grinning
"God you love making things awkward don't you?" Vin asked Ash nodded
"Yes very much." Ash said grinning even more
"Ugh! I can't deal with you." vinter said
"You didn't say anything about not being gay on that last comment-" Ash said giving Vinter a
"I got you there" look. Vinters eyes narrowed
"Shut up," he growled
"That's your only comeback? C'mon!! You can do better than that!" Ash mocked
"I mean I get why any guy'd fall for you, ya are kinda hot," Ash said winking Vintner's face turned red
"I- No!!" Vinter yelled angrily
