IT WAS GROWING LATE, AND the limited group of four continued to play the tape over and over again until they had the perfect story to go with. Murray eventually done it, passing Nancy back the heavily edited speech they now had to shut down the lab, which she sealed up and closed into a small envelope. They copied hundreds and prepared to send them to every news agent in the state. They weren't going to stop until that lab was closed forever. Until they were assured that no more innocent kids were ever going to be hurt by the mistakes they created.

Lastly, the four of them sat down and celebrated with a long bottle of vodka. Kali sat back on the couch beside Nancy, taking slow sips and laughing at the way everybody acted towards their drunk intoxications. She, personally, had a pretty high tolerance and wasn't too affected by any of it.

"Whoo-hoo!" Murray cheered, holding his glass up. "To taking down the man."

"To taking down the man," the trio of teens echoed, smiling, before they all took a heavy sip of the strong taste.

"Commie bastards sure know who to make a spirit," the man commented. "Am I right?"

Kali nodded, taking a slow drag of her cigarette as she waited for the vodka to hit her.

Murray leaned forward to pour them all another glass, but was stopped by Nancy, who shook her head. "Oh, no, no, no. We...we can't," she said, shaking her hand.

"Yeah, no. No, I've got to drive," Jonathan added.

"Drive?" questioned Murray, sitting up straighter. "What, tonight?"

"Our parents..." Nancy turned to the other two, who both agreed. Joyce, Karen and Hopper would kill them for just leaving for two nights without any warning — they wouldn't even know what to expect if they showed up drunk.

"...would be proud if they knew what you were up to," excused Murray. "Just tell them your at Tammyʼs or Dawnʼs or whoeverʼs, and take me guest room."

Nancy cocked a brow, Jonathan looked down and Kali shrugged.

"Do you wanna stay?" the oldest girl asked, turning to Nancy.

"I mean, it is pretty late?" she pointed out.

Jonathan shrugged, turning back to Murray. "Uhh...could I use the sofa?" he asked awkwardly.

Murray nodded.

"Yeah, and I'll take the floor," added Kali, making sure Nancy would get a good night's sleep in her own bed.
