Laying back on a tree, watching the sunset, next to my best friend breathing in fresh air. No words, just comfortable silence. I wish life could be this sincere. I look to the side of him, Jade. He was all I needed. He was there when everyone else decided not to be. Whilst everyone shied away from me in my time of trouble, he stood right next to me. Oh to put in words how much I love him. He was perfect. He wouldn't cause harm to anyone or anything. Overall he was kind and good-natured.
"Hey evanna..."
"Yes?"
"...promise you'll never leave and forget about me." Forget about him? How could I ever.
"What's with the sudden promise?"
"Just say you will. Please..."
"I promise Jade. I'll always be there for you." He smiled and got up, putting his hand out. I grabbed his hand and helped myself up. Still holding hands we walked towards my home.
In no time, I look up and there it is. My somewhat humble abode. He lets go of my hand as I continue the walk up to the door. I'm one twist with my keys away when suddenly I hear him speak.
"Evanna, I'm moving away for a bit." My eyes widen.
"Excuse me? N-no you can't...!" I run up to him leaving the keys in the door.
"Are you doing some prank on me?" I query helplessly.
"Ha nope. I guess I shouldn't have said anything." Jade says, rubbing his nape while looking to the side.
"Shouldn't have said anything? Are you kidding me right now? Why are you leaving?"
"Some study abroad stuff my mom wants me to do. She says I need a better education."
Did you fight back? I mean you can't just leave me high and dry like this. I mean this is too sudden and we need to send you off right and- wait how long are you leaving for."
"A year maybe. Not sure"
"Why're you being so nonchalant about this? I can't have you leave me, not with them. I mean whos gonna talk to me and whos gonna take me out for random trips to target an-"
"Calm down will you?" Jade turns around and starts walking away after he so rudely cuts me off.
"Calm down? Seriously?" I follow and he turns the corner. I run up and he's gone. Mother fucker.

CerpenHim. Thats all I could think about when he went away for what was supposed to be a year. Clearly he lied. Its been three and I've still waited. I sit here waiting for him, not even for a second forgetting the promise I made for him the day he left...
