"He? Like.."
"Fuck, fuck, fuck. What do I do?" Tommy scrambled, pushing his weight against the door just in case. Techno took in everything as best he could and came up with a temporary plan.
"Okay, okay. Go hide in the closet. Take off your coat and cover yourself. I'll deal with this." Techno told him, holding the door just above his arm so he felt safe moving.
Tommy did exactly that, running to what he assumed Techno's bedroom was and opening the closet. It was very dark, hard to see anything.
He immediately jumped in, closing the door behind him. It was one of those screen doors, so he could see through each little crack.
He grabbed down another one of Techno's clothes, though he didn't know what it was, and threw it over him. He used the coat to do the same, the only part of him uncovered being his shoes (that didn't look like him so it was okay) and a bit of his eyes so he could see out, though no one from the outside would be able to see unless they turned the light on.
He heard a knock on the door and closed his eyes.
Techno waited for a second and answered, doing his best to look confused. He knew exactly why he was here, so it was hard to make it seem otherwise.
"Dream?" He questioned, his eyebrows furrowing. The man smiled and backed a step from the door as Techno opened it further.
"Hello, Techno." He greeted kindly, his hands together over his waist, an odd position to see him in. There was a pause as Techno examined him, mostly looking for any visible weapons he had.
Even from his hiding spot, Tommy heard his voice, and it gave him chills. He sunk into the back of the closet.
"What are you doing here?" Techno asked, raising his eyebrows. He did his best to sound like he didn't know the answer to that. Dream seemed to buy it.
He did not, though. He knew Tommy was there. He saw how the door opened and closed, and knew that wasn't Techno. That was just one of his reasons, he had more. He just needed to get Tommy back.
"Actually, I'm here looking for Tommy. He, uh, ran away." Dream kept his response vague, really not thinking he would need to say anything else.
"Tommy? Like, my brother? I haven't seen him in months. You're checking the wrong place." Techno tried to shut the door on him, getting him out an easy way, but he was stopped by Dream's hand. Of course.
"I'm sorry, I don't need to be rude. I just want to look around." Dream shot another smile, knowing that he was here because of Techno's reaction. He was a little mad that Techno was on his side, especially after saving his life, but he wouldn't argue about that until he found him.
Techno started to get a little angry as his voices demanded vengeance against him. He couldn't give anything away just yet, though. This man would not leave his house with Tommy.
Just kill him.
He hurt Tommy.
Make him sorry for what he did to him.
Get revenge.
Shut up, we need to protect Tommy not hurt Dream.
He deserves it.
Tommy's gonna end up betraying you anyways.Jesus, that went worse than he could have imagined. He tuned them out and went back to the man standing on his porch.
"Dream, I'm going to kindly ask that you leave." Techno denied him again, shooting him a sarcastic smile to mock Dream.
"Techno, come on. You have nothing to hide, right? It's not that I don't trust you, it's just my job." Dream dropped his grin, looking more guilty.
The wall of lies was clear to see through for both of them.
