So it's been a while and a lot has happened. During these three months I bought a house down in Geneva, Ohio. I've had my furniture, and most of my belongings shipped to the house already.
I can't fully move into the house until the 30th, so Lavar and Ms. Tina were kind enough to let me stay with them until then. Might I add that Ms. Tina is wonderful. For the past week that we've been staying here, she created a strong bond with deuce.
Sometimes she'll volunteer to watch him so I can study for a little. She's like the mother I never had. Right now me, her, and deuce are at the airport picking up Lavar, G, and Melo.
"What time does their flight land again Ms. Tina?" We just pulled up to terminal A and were waiting for them to come out. "Lavar said they should be out by 2, and I told you to just call me Tina" I checked my watch which read '1:58'.
"Sorry, Tina, Well he has 5 minutes before he's wrong" We had took my car because it was the only one with enough space to fit everybody. I heard Deuce moving around so I got out the car to check on him.
When I opened the back door, I was greeted with a smile. I smiled back at him and took him out the seat. I made my way back to the drivers seat with him and shut the door behind me.
"Aw look at his little chubby cheeks" Ms. Tina cooed at him. His head was resting on my chest while facing her. I looked at the clock which now read '2:00'. "Welp guess Lavar was wrong"
Ms. Tina laughed and gestured to my window. I looked at her confused before seeing what she meant. Melo was staring at me through the window.
I rolled down the window but didn't say anything. "Hey Mama, Hey man, hey Deuce" I popped the trunk for them and got out the car. Lavar was gonna drive back to their house.
Once I did get out Gelo took Deuce from my hands and turned away from me. "Nigga- I-" I was cut off by a pair of arms wrapping around my waist from behind.
"I missed you bestie" I turned around and wrapped my arms around his lower torso. "I missed you to Mel" We pulled away from the hug and he put his stuff in the trunk.
"Amanda, do you feel comfortable sitting in the way back with Melo? Gelo can't fit back there" I shook my head. "Yeah I'm fine with it" I got all the way in the back, and Melo followed behind me.
Gelo and Lavar got in and we started the hour drive back to Chino. Lavar was blasting the air and it was getting a little chilly. "Melo.." I mumbled loud enough for on him to hear me.
"Yeah?" He turned his head to face me. "Can you hand me that blanket right there" he handed me the blanket and I threw it over top of me.
About 10 minutes into the ride, Melo pulled my legs onto his lap. "Sorry it was kinda uncomfortable" The back of the car only has 2 seats with little leg room.
"Its fine" I shrugged, laying me head on the seat. His hand rested on my thigh, rubbing small circles near the bottom of my shorts. "How was Lithuania" I asked him putting my phone down next to me.
"Cold. Very very cold" He turned towards me and just stared. "What" I questioned, receiving a head shake in return. I shrugged and grabbed my phone, scrolling though whatever was on my feed.
I was caught off guard when Melo lifted my arms up and laid his head on my chest, though it was normal. "Your boobs are comfortable" I bit my lip, holding in the laugh that was bearing to come out.
I took one hand off my phone and rested it in his hair. I hummed the lyrics to 'Best Part' by Daniel Caesar and H.E.R, as my fingertips ran along Melo scalp.
I watched as Melo slowly started to fall asleep. Since we still had 50 minutes of driving, I decided to let him be.

When we pulled up to the house, Zo was waiting in his G-Wagon with Denise. I shook Melo awake and we waited for G to get out. Once G was out, me and Melo climbed out. I walked over to the other side of the car and took Deuce out his car seat.
"Aren't you going home?" Gelo questioned, wondering why I took him out the car. "I am.. well temporarily" He looked confused. "What do you mean you are?"
On the other hand, Melo was shocked. "You bought the house already" He whined, falling out on the floor. I shook my head and laughed at G's confusion.
"What house are we talking about" Zo patted his back, Gelo was stressing. "She's moving to Geneva, Ohio G" Melo cried out. "Next week" Zo added on. "NEXT WEEK" Melo and Gelo both yelled in sync.
I shrugged and went in the house. Gelo followed right behind me "Manda you leaving the west coast? Why" I sighed and turned towards him. "Melo was actually supposed to tell you all this"
I shot Mel a glared and he just walked away. "My parents tracked me down and broke into my house, so for Deuce's safety I chose to move" He shook his head and but his lip.
"Damn.. Imma miss you bestie" He pulled me into a hug. "Imma miss you too G... but for now lets make the best of the little time we have left" I gave him a light smile which he returned.
"I guess you're right.. Where you staying at now?" I nodded towards the backyard. "Guest house" he looked like he wanted to say something but just smiled. "What"
"Nothing you'll see" I looked at him weirdly before going out the backyard. He scares me sometimes. When I got to the guest house I saw it was already opened.
Cautiously, I walked inside holding Deuce close to my chest. I heard some shuffling coming from around the corner "Who's there" Soon, Melo appeared. "What are you doing here"
I questioned, raising my eyebrows at him. "I stay in here.. what are you doing here" My stomach dropped. That's why G looked at me like that. Wait a second- IS THAT WHY LAVAR WAS SO SET ON HAVING ME STAY IN HERE.
"Oh. My. God"
