“Twinnie!”

Wait, familiar yung boses na yun ah! I looked around the arrivals area and saw the squealing girl sa may closed-off area. Squinting my eyes, I finally realized who she was.

“Omo, Heeseul!!!”

Heizel Monique Choy or known as Choy Hee Seul in Korea, is my bestfriend. She’s Chinese-Filipino; her mom’s Chinese-Filipino and her dad’s 100% Chinese. Her dad and my appa are actually bestfriends- Paul Choy and Arthur Yoon grew up together sa Korea and they studied in Beijing too. I’ve known her since she was 10- schoolmate and same year-level kasi kami sa Kent.

“Bakit andito ka? Diba dapat nasa Beijing or Guangzhou ka ngayon?” came my obvious question.

“Ano ba yan, three- almost four years kita hindi nakita tapos yan lang sasabihin mo?! Ha Neul!”

“Okay sorry, I miss you!”

“I miss you more! Anyway, I told dad to let me move schools dito last semester nung nalaman ko na babalik ka na this fall, syempre pumayag!”

“Ay, walang clue Seul, malamang papaya talaga yun, duh?!” haha oo alam ko sarcastic yung sinabi ko pero ganyan talaga kami mag-usap. She knows tagalog naman kahit na lumaki sya sa Korea and China. Although mas fluent kami mag Chinese and mag Korean kesa mag Tagalog.

“Hoy! I may be small pero wag nyo naman ako deadmahin!”

Napalingon ako bigla sa nagsalita.

“Emmy? Oh my, EMMY!!!”

“Yes Cribbie, it’s me.” She answered, using her nickname for me, then added “Oo na, hindi na ako tumangkad!”

Emmy is actually Marie Angeline Lee. Filipino-Korean sya pero she grew-up in Korea, and like me and Seul, marunong din mag tagalog ‘to BUT, gaya ng palagi ko sinasabi, mas fluent kaming tatlo mag Korean and Chinese kesa sa Tagalog kasi we rarely use the language. Pag kaming tatlo lang, dun pa kami nag-uusap in tagalog. Seul and I met her sa school, Kent International School of Korea.

They were my best girls, sila palagi kong kasama since I was 10.

Though we talk a lot sa skype, me2day, cyworld, twitter, facebook, tumblr at sa lahat na ng social networking sites na maisip nyo- it’s different pa rin to finally see them face to face.

Seul moved to Beijing when we were 15 kasi namatay grandpa nya, so minana na ng dad nya ang business ng family nila. After nun, Emmy and I met two new friends, Charissa Quing and Nesica Lau.

“We enrolled you to school na yesterday and we made sure that we’re all in in the same class.” Seul informed me, while linking her arms around mine and we started walking towards the exit.

Although iisang school lang kami, never pa kami nagkaron ng same classes talaga, nung last semester ko sa Kent, 2 or 3 subjects lang ata ang pareho namin ni Emmy and 3 naman kay Chai, then 2 with Nes.

“Uhm, where’s mom?”

“You don’t know where your mom is?! Ha Neul, how babo can you get?”

“Sorry, I haven’t turned on my phone since boarding the plane- besides, you know I need a new one para gamitin dito kasi iba yung phone service ng Pinas.”

“Your parental unit are in the States, they had to attend urgent things.”

“Oh right, ako nga pala nagsabi na wag na ako antayin. Haha FAIL!”

Driving home, nakatulog na naman ako. Emmy shook me awake when we finally arrived. Bukas na daw kami mag-shopping for new clothes since next week pa naman daw ang classes. She’s extremely OC so no choice kami kundi sumunod na lang.

“School won’t start until next week so we can still go on a holiday. Where do you guys want to go?”

“Jeju please?” Seul pleaded.

“Yes, Jeju please? Please please??” at ofcourse, agree si Emmy. Jeju Island- ang last place in Korea na gusto ko puntahan. Last time I was there, it was with someone special but, oh well.

“Okay okay, Jeju na! Shopping muna tayo tomorrow for my clothes okay? Kawawa naman ako, wala ako wardrobe! Besides, almost winter na rin, and we have to pick up my uniforms pa.”

“Nope, sorry Ha Neul, we got your uniforms na kahapon, siguro naman same size ka pa rin kahit papaano.” Sabi ni Seul habang naglalaro sa laptop nya.

“Stop with the Ha Neul thing! It’s ALLY. A-L-L-Y! Ano ba naman yan, di naman Ha Neul tawag nyo sa akin ah!”

“Yeah right, Yoon Ha Neul. Pero fine, if you insist, Adrienne Llynne Yoon!”

“Oo nga naman, Em, si Vince lang naman kasi tumatawag sa kanya ng Ha Neul eh! Haha. Peace twin!”

Ayun, mahabang kwentuhan, asaran, batuhan, basically catching up. We finally got exhausted and slept around 2AM. They both slept in my room, too tired na lumipat sa rooms nila. Tomorrow is shopping day, for sure kapagod yun.
