I told you time and time again: I'm not as think as you drunk I am

I groaned and turned onto my other side at the sound of three knocks on my door. "No," I mumbled and pulled the covers up to my ears.
"Rise and shine, Darlin'," Vittorio's voice sang as he opened the door, "How are we feeling today?"
I only gave a grunt in response and curled up into a ball.
"I brought provisions," he said and dumped a tray down on the nightstand next to me. He gently pulled the covers down a little and his dark eyes met mine. "So what did we learn?"
"Shut up, mom," I groaned.
Vittorio slightly chuckled but he looked more awkward than amused; out of place. Showing a caring side that seemed foreign to him. A slight smirk crept onto his lips and he cocked an eyebrow.
"You gonna lay there all day?" He looked down at the undoubtedly expensive watch on his wrist. "We've got –"
"Carly!" The door burst open again and Colby entered, bouncing excitedly. "Carly, get up, we've got things to do. Places to be!"
I furrowed my eyebrows. "Where?"
"Well," Vittorio said. "That's what I was about to tell you –"
"Vince is hosting a thing on his yacht!"
Vittorio's jaw tightened and he slightly narrowed his eyes, clearly battling his thinning patience. He gave Colby a look as if asking 'are you done?'
"He's hosting a party to welcome us home," he finally muttered.
I slowly sat up and looked at the two men; one looking overly excited and one overwhelmingly disinterested. I pulled the blankets closer around me and shifted a little.
"Why am I going?" I asked and looked from one to the other.
"Well, I don't want to leave you on your own," Vittorio said, his voice a little strained, "It's not safe."
I nodded slowly, careful not to provoke the dull pain behind my eyes. I turned my attention to the tray at my bedside table and snatched the painkillers and water bottle, downing them quickly.
"Well, I'll get ready then. If the two of you leave me alone for long enough?"
Vittorio nodded promptly and grabbed the sleeve of his friend who seemed to have missed the conversation. They left me silently, but as soon as they were out the door, I could hear Colby say something Vittorio didn't sound pleased with.
I crawled off the bed and went to look in the wardrobe for something to wear. I went with a mid-length satin dress in a dusty rose color with a slightly plunging neckline. I laid it out on the bed and quickly went to take a shower.

"You look stunning!" Colby exclaimed when I exited my room. He stood in front of Vittorio's door with Vittorio himself and Dante. "Just wait till you see the yacht!"
"Thank you, Colby." I smiled at him softly and approached them, my heels clicking steadily against the floor.
"Alright, let's go," Dante huffed and pushed off the wall he'd been leaning on, making his way towards the elevator with Colby hot on his heels.
