The Walls

I want to go outside these walls one day. I'm tired of having to be protected by these walls: Wall Maria, Wall Rose, and Wall Sina. I have to be strong.

I patted the horse's behind gently. I don't like to use the whip. The female Titan was making its way towards us. It's showing no interest whatsoever.

"Is it a variant?" Petra asked.

I shrugged. Maybe...but I get the feeling its movements are with purpose. Petra and the other members tried to cut the back of its neck, but it kept covering it with its hands. That Titan knows. It knows how we kill it.

I tried to think of a plan. My eyes widened. Petra and the others were killed. I felt tears run down my cheeks. No way. I sunk to my knees as more tears came. Before I knew it, I started to cry.

I didn't want to see anyone die. Why this? I began to wail as the Titan ran off. I can't let it get to Eren. I fired up my gear and went after it.

"Ah!" I grimaced as I was hit and flew through the air.

Am I going to die now? I closed my eyes accepting death. My memories flashed through my head. An image of Levi appeared. No. I can't die. I want to see him again. I... I don't want to die!

I fired up my gear and flew after it. Surely, Commander Erwin came up with some sort of trap. To my surprise, he did, they captured the female Titan. When I spotted Levi, I rushed over to him.

"They're dead." I said as the tears came again.

Levi's eyes widened.

"I couldn't protect any of them, and yet I managed to survive... I should've died with them!" I cried.

Levi placed a hand on my shoulder.

"That's not true." He insisted.

I looked up at him.

"I'm glad you're okay." He explained.

A small smile crept onto my face as the last of my tears fell. I'd like to believe these deaths will end soon.
