Two days and lots of worrying tears from concerned mums and friends alike later Dan was ready to return home, and Phil was more then ready to sleep in his own bed again.

Actually he was more exited to see lion again then anything. Even the idea of wifi and running, clean tap water was less appealing then his cuddly friend.

Currently Phil's mum was checking out the boys, talking with the doctors making sure everything was okay. Dan and his mum were talking in hushed voices in the corner, a wheel chair left forgotten in the door way.

"Alright sweetie." She muttered, entering the room with a small smile. "Everything is taken care of. You're meds are currently being sent to the flat as we speak and someone will be up to do a last minute check up before we go."

Dan nodded tiredly, his brown eyes dropping. Whatever they had pumped into his veins made him overly tired, each breath draining him from energy.

However the oxygen machine had been taken away early yesterday morning and slowly his lungs had started working again.

"Thanks mum." Phil said for maybe the 20th time that hour. Without his mum and the help of his friends the older male highly doubted he would have been prepared to return home today.

On her way over, Louise had picked out some comfy clothes for her friends to change into so that the bloody ones could be washed. Although burned was most likely the better solution so that they never had to see them and be reminded of the experience again.

"Phil." She had sniffled, while he tried to comfort her. He did do a very good job though, because when she went to hug him it touched one of his more sever burns and he hissed in pain.

"Sorry!" She muttered, more tears in her eyes. People had been doing that a lot lately. Crying.

"It's okay." Phil insisted, rubbing circles on her back gently. Dan was fast asleep on the hospital bed, his breath coming in scarily loud gasps.

Each one made the black haired male jump more and more.

"I'm so sorry Phil." That was another thing people had been doing a lot of. Apologizing. Phil didn't blame them, and when he was with it enough to understand what was going on, Dan didn't either but it was just what everyone said.

In fact a lot of people said it.

Numerous friends had been in the waiting room, anxiously listening for news on their friends. In fact even a few fans at somehow snuck in. Luckily a bigger doctor who lots of mussels forced them to go away before they could even get close to the floor the two friends were staying at.

Everyone was worried about Dan and Phil.

"It's o-okay." The latter reassured Louise, his voice soft.

As of now it was just her, Phil and Dan in the room, Mrs.Lester getting lunch. The rest of their friends sat patiently in the waiting room, awaiting further news.

Wiping her eyes, she said: "I'm just glad you two are okay." Phil nodded in agreement looking over at Dan. He'd been sleeping basically this whole time, waking only once or twice.

The first time was in the middle of the night when Phil woke up gasping for air, his eyes wide and alert.

As if it was second nature, or maybe he had just been half asleep, Dan wrapped his strong warm arms around his best friend.

"Shush Phil you're okay." He whispered gently. "We're both safe now."

The older male turned around so that his nose was almost touching Dan's, their bath breath mingling. It had been a while sense either of them had even saw a toothbrush.
