"King daddy."

"Yes, my princess."

"I want a little brother," Flavia whispers

"A little brother? You don't like your big brothers?" I ask my daughter as she lays on my chest

"They're big. I want a little baby," she makes a cup with her tiny hands

"I'll talk to mommy, but nothing is promised. Ok?" I tell her

"Ok," she nods before resting her head back on my chest

I close my eyes and just take in the moment. Adriana and Ethan are still asleep. Not sure how him and Flavia switched places but they did.

Just before I fell asleep last night, Jamiah came into the room and fell asleep at the end of the bed.

Glad I have a big bed to fit us all comfortably.

"I need to let Henry and Florian out," Flavia whispers

"Let's go do that," I get up, still holding her against my chest.

When I open the bedroom door, the two Dobermans are laying in front of it.

"Come on, boys," Flavia says and they both jump up.

We head downstairs and when we get to the bottom I let Flavia down and she runs towards the back door with the dogs following behind.

"King daddy... the door is too heavy," she grunts as she tries to slide the door open

"Unlock it, Princess," I chuckle

"Oh," she gets it open after unlocking it and the dogs run out, her following behind.

I got over to the coffee machine and turn it on. As it brews I watch Flavia run around the backyard with the dogs.

It's gotten hot pretty fast here, which I'm glad about. Gives the kids more time to spend outside then on their devices.

Flavia comes running back in just as I get my cup of coffee. She runs towards the mudroom and out of sight, just before I hear a thud.

"I'm ok!" She yells and I hear her small feet start rapidly thumping again

I chuckle and shake my head.

So happy she's back.

Yesterday morning Frankie called me and said he tipped off the police. An hour after that call, I got a call from Melanie saying I needed to meet her somewhere, quickly.

That somewhere was west of the city. A mansion.

When we got there Toronto Police and Peel Police were both outside the mansion.

The minute they told Adriana and I that the kids were in there, I knew they had to get them out.

It wasn't until after I got the kids back that I, Commissioner, was notified and I had to work with both regions.

Now Adriana and I have meetings all day, luckily we can attend them through video call. I'm too anxious to leave the kids.
