Life Sucks, I thought as I stood on the roof of Wade's apartment building, looking out at all the lights of the city,
Life is nothing but one big shit show after another, sure you have the rare occasion of being happy but it only lasts for a second.
I let out a deep breath.
I am done being shadow. I made my mind up about that. I have killed so many innocent people even kids.
All because I let my guard down and got caught.
I just have to live with the fact that my entire life is supposed to be misery.
I have hung up the swords.
I hear the door slam and see Wade approach me.
"So this is where you've been." He said now standing next to me.
"Yeah." I said sounding defeated
"Jax I'm worried." He said looking at me
"About what?" I said looking back out at the city.
"You." He said
I looked at him.
"I'm fine nothing to worry about." I said
"Runner I have known you for a long time, you can't pull that one on me, You barley eat, you don't sleep, the only time you go outside is to be up here, and you haven't suited up for three months." He said
"So." I said
"So I know you have a bit of a attitude problem sometimes, and sometimes you act like me more than I would like to admit, but under all that harshness there is a girl who is hurting a whole hell of a lot, I know you more than you think." Wade said
"I mean you have never crashed at my place more than a week." He said
"You want me to leave?" I asked
"No, I'm just pointing out you are acting way out of normal for you." He said
"Look I just think I'm done with the whole revenge thing okay maybe even shadow is dead too." I said
He looked at me like I had three heads
"Sad part is I think you believe that." He said
"I do believe that." I said
"No you don't you just feel so defeated that you have no idea where to go or what to do next and I understand that." He said placing his hand on my shoulder
"But whatever you decide I am behind you every step of the way." He said
"Thanks Wade." I said smiling at him
"Anytime how about we go back inside and binge watch something on netflix and eat a whole tub of ice cream." He said
"Sounds like a plan." I said and we walked back into the apartment building
