「 28; Forget It 」

Start from the beginning

"Hyung! You're somewhat quiet.." One of them suddenly stated as all eyes were on him.

"Jungwon, let him be. You know how he is." Sunoo spoke before Heeseung can even open his mouth.

"Right. By the way, why isn't Jay with you, Jungwon?" Niki asked, curious as to why his lover didn't agree to join them.

"He's.. busy." Jungwon uttered as he threw in a french fry in his mouth.

The younger nodded while the eldest among them looked at him in suspicion. Though he shrugged it off quickly.

"Jake and Sunghoon aren't with us either."

"Right.. ever since what happened to Sunghoon hyung, he rarely hangs out with us. Even my messages were left on seen." Jungwon thought out loud. While Niki also had the same problem.

"Well they are in a relationship.." Sunoo placed his elbow on the table, holding his chin in one hand.

"They're what?!" Jungwon exclaimed but not too loud for a bunch of strangers to hear.

"You never knew?" Niki asked, quite surprised.

"No. I mean it was obvious but really? Officially?"

"Yeah. We mentioned it in the group chat many times already!"

"But I wasn't paying attention!"

"Hm, I wonder what they're doing right now." Niki interrupted, stopping the two from starting a meaningless argument.

"I don't know actually. I mean they could be going on dates and such."

"Or maybe Sunghoon–"

"That's enough." Heeseung had his palm on the table. Giving a stern look at the others who were startled by his sudden word.

"Stop talking about them. It's not your place to try and pry into their lives. Leave them be. Let's move on to another topic."

The friend group went silent for a bit before the eldest calmed down. Slumping back into his seat. While they continued on like nothing happened.

But Sunoo held back a smile. Glancing at the older, seeing how his fingers were shaking.

Unconsciously, Heeseung made eye contact with him. Not even prepared for what he was about to say.

"You can hear me right?"

Heeseung was stunned. He was sure that nobody will know. For years, he's been keeping this to himself. And yet here he was, about to become a complete fool in the eyes of Kim Sunoo.

"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone."  He listened to the younger's voice as it echoes in his mind.

Although Heeseung can read others' thoughts, he can't communicate with them telepathically. At least not yet.

"You're worried about him, aren't you?"

The older said nothing, signaling Sunoo to continue on.

"The whole thing about hating supernaturals.. it's stupid. I mean you're considered one too."

Before the younger can even carry on with his statement, Heeseung approached him from behind. Tapping his shoulder as he whispered a few words to him.

"We'll be back, don't worry about us!" Sunoo told Jungwon and Riki who doesn't seem to object.

Locking the mall bathroom door, and letting go of the tight hold he had on the younger's wrist. Leaning his back against the counter.

"How did you know?" Heeseung questioned with a glare.

"How I found out doesn't matter. Besides, your reason for attacking innocent lives isn't valid anymore."  Sunoo smiled, a threatening one.

"A human protecting other humans.. You're not protecting them, you're protecting yourself."

"But I am human. I was only given such abilities." Heeseung fought back

"Well that's unfortunate. It's unfair to those ranked lower than you." Sunoo shrugged.

"Hm, I wonder what your blood tastes like.." The younger stepped forward. His canines growing and his eyes glowing crimson.

Though, he was stopped by a palm on his wrist. Slowly crushing it as it began to shake. Sunoo isn't lying when he says that it hurts.

"Fine! Typical Heeseung hyung. So selfish." He raised his hands in the air, admitting defeat.

"If I was selfish, I would've left you guys to rot in hell." Heeseung fumed. His breathing becoming more and more unstable.

Sunoo looked at him with an alarmed expression. Now this isn't the time to joke around.

Letting out a frustrated sigh, Heeseung took out a small bottle from his pocket. Opening it and pouring out one pill that landed on his other hand. Giving it to the younger male.

"I'm not shoving that down my throat." Sunoo stared at the pill in disgust.

"Well you have to." Heeseung stated, urging the younger to take it.

"This isn't going to erase my memories or something, right?" Sunoo chuckled nervously, pointing at the small pill. While Heeseung said nothing.

"Nevermind." The older spoke out, throwing the pill down the sink behind him. Deeming that it's just going to make things worse between them.

"Just please don't tell this to anyone else. Alright, Sun?"

"Fine."

Suddenly, the atmosphere felt quite disturbing to both of them. As if there was someone watching them.

"We have to go." Heeseung heard the younger's voice in his head yet again as he glanced at him.

Walking out of the area, Heeseung could only think of the many possibilities that might happen to the other two.
