DOUBLE UPDATE READ 33

Damien

"He's already out."

"Figured," I say pouring my cup of coffee. "This is his safe space."

"Where does he go?"

"Since it's still a bit cold and there's snow. He probably went up the hill to go snowboarding. If not, he's down the hill in the shed doing fuck how's what," I sigh standing behind Adriana. I wrap an arm around her waist and kiss her temple.

"He can snowboard with a broken arm?" she questions

"He's done it before. He's good, but I have feeling he's down in the shed. Sometimes he's fixing up his bike or carving some wood. Painting. During the summer he takes care of the plants that are around the shed and house. I don't bother him," I say

"Do you think he ate?" she asks as we look out at the sun rising over the lake

"No. Flavia and my mom take him breakfast. Maybe you can go with them when they go," I suggest and she nods

I love how much Adriana cares and worries about Ethan.

"He'll be ok, baby. I called his therapist and she said that she knows this is his safe place and the place where he finds peace. So she said to give him his space and that he'll come back," I explain

"Ok. Give him his space," she whispers

We continue to stand in a comfortable silence while drinking our coffees. Soon my parents wake up and start making breakfast and Adriana helps out too.

"Come on Henry, come on Florian!" My dad made sure to go back and get the dogs. I completely forgot about them and I feel bad. Though Flavia doesn't know I forgot them.

"Good morning, Princess," I greet my daughter as she comes into the kitchen

"Good morning, King daddy. Good Morning, Queen Mommy. Good morning, Queen Grandma and good morning, King Nonno," Flavia greets, running around the kitchen

"Don't run, princess. Don't want you to fall," I catch her, lifting her up and making her squeal.

Her two dogs bark at me, probably demanding that I put their mother down. The Doberman's are growing. They're still small but bigger than a few weeks ago. They should be at their full size in a couple of months, which i'm not ready for.

"They need to go peepee, king daddy," Flavia says in my arms

"Ok. We can go outside after breakfast and take them for a walk," I tell her

"Okay," she says and I put her back down. She leaves the kitchen, running with her dogs behind her. Small little giggles heard from the living room.

"We're leaving tomorrow morning. I'm need at the office," My dad tells. "I'll send you everything you need."

"Can't you go and come back?" I question

"Not really. Mat needs some legal work done for his company since they're moving and a whole lotta other bullshit," he sighs, making Pizzelle. "Don't ever become a lawyer."

"Didn't plan on it," I tell

______________

"Hey."

"Hi," Ethan says, eating a strip of bacon

"Where'd you go?" I ask, going into the fridge and grabbing a water.

"Shed. Was watching the sunrise and painting. Think I'm gonna go for a hike," he tells
