One of my favorite memories of summer in cousins started with a game and ended with a boy. Jeremiah and I had been playing truth or dare with Steven, but Steven had went to the beach with Conrad and belly.

"Okay truth or dare jere?" I asked looking at him deeply.

" dare. Of course." He says with excitement.

" okay, I dare you to dance with me." I say hoping he would say yes, he silently just nods and we both get up slow dancing with my head on his chest, his resting on mine.

" you know if someone had asked me who I loved the most, I would say you always." He says as he looks into my eyes with no hesitation.

"What about Conrad or your mom jere." I say confused.

"Not that kind of love may..... your my best friend and I love you." And he hesitated at first when finishing that sentence and that's when I knew I would love him forever.

We were at at the country club at dance rehearsal and me and belly's escort weren't here yet. Jere was working that day and he said he would try to get off but it was ok i thought.

"Attention everyone, please welcome our debutante waltz instructor, Ms. Covington, all the way from her school of ballroom dance in newton." Everyone claps as Paige finishes her sentence.

"Thank you, Paige as you all know, the waltz is the most highly anticipated part of the ball. So, please join your partners now... and we will begin with the fundamentals, starting with the box step." As she says this I feel embarrassed because I don't have anyone. But my thought was interrupted when a boy came up to me and just started dancing with me.

"Uh hi." I say kind of shy.

"Hi, figured you could use a partner, my names Caden." He said smiling at me, he was cute but not as cute as Jeremiah nor as tall or muscular.

After a few minutes of getting the jist of everything. I found out he works at the country club and he was off and was wondering. He turners out to be really funny and encouraging me that I was doing really well.

"Pick up the pace." Ms. Covington says as she's clapping her hands and I got distracted and stepped on Caden's foot the same time as belly steps on Nicole but then Jeremiah comes in his lifeguard uniform and put his arms around my waist protectively.

" I'll take it from here...". He stops in the middle of the sentence wanting his name.

"Caden. Caden this is Jeremiah he's -" I am interrupted by Jeremiah as he steps in front of him.

"I'm her boyfriend and I can take it from here thanks Carson." He says knowing his name is Caden. He just silently walks away.

"Jere, that was rude." I say laughing at his actions.

" yea and you think I was gonna let him flirt with my girlfriend while I'm watching? Like I said I've been in love with you for so long I'm not letting anyone take you away from me, now lets dance." He says as Steven whistles for him and gives Jeremiah his jacket.

We start dancing, funnily and everyone is whispering and gossiping but me and jere, we are in our own world until jere goes up to Alexa and asked to play "𝙨𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙮 𝙗𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖."

Everyone starts cheering as Jeremiah dances and he starts dancing towards me and gives me a peck on the lips and everyone cheers louder. He pulls me by waist to dance and we all start dancing and having fun. I knew I was going to remember this forever.
