Sometimes I feel like I'm always missing opportunities. And life passes me by, like for example if I just told him how I feel maybe I would have a shot. But we'll never know bc he's not in love with me like I'm in love with him

This morning I woke up with no belly but with a loud blending noise and the smell of crackling eggs so I walk downstairs to get the day started.

Today was me and belly's first day as a debutante and a day of shopping and tea parties, I am so excited but I feel like for belly she's having second thoughts.

"Do we really have to physically sit for our portraits? Can't she just, like, look at a picture on her phone or something?" Jeremiah asked.

"Okay, get out." Jeremiah says to Steven In an annoyed but laughing way pointing towards the door.

I walk downstairs and catch eyes with jere and he just winks at me, my stomach starts to fill with butterflies and I don't think they'll ever stop.

"Good morning beautiful, how'd you sleep?" Jere ask as he puts his hands on my waist then takes them off when he noticed we were being watch by our family.

"Good thanks for asking jere." I say flashing him a warm smile.

"She needs to see you in the flesh in order to capture your essence. While you're still young and full of hope." My mother replies to Jeremiah's first question as we all laugh.

My mother simply responds with "her words."

As they continue with their conversations I couldn't help but look into Jeremiah's eyes and see nothing but the ocean then Susannah comes rushing in

" Oh my god belly and maya are going to be debutantes." She says with excitement.

We both look at each other and laugh with excitement.

"I'm sorry. Like, belly and maya? Like my sisters? Like, those things right there?" Steven says questioning our motives.

"Shut up, cretin." Belly says as though she's is offended.

"Okay, this is gonna be so much fun. Just you wait. There is uh.. there's the tea, the auction, the ball, of course, the rehearsal. I got to write this down." Susannah says so excited.

"We need to go shopping." She says all of a sudden.

Of course my mom isn't really big on spending money so I could tell she was getting a little nervous but I knew Susannah would pay I mean it was her idea.

"This sounds... expensive." My mother says nervously.

"Oh, don't worry, laur. It's on me. It was my idea after all and we still need to style you for your book party so." Susannah says with not a care in the world.

Me and Susannah always have thought alike and sometimes I feel like I was born with the wrong mother, as wrong as that sounds but me and Susannah are close.

"Girls are you sure you want to do this? I mean belly this doesn't seem very you" Out mother ask.

" no mom no changing her mind, plus with me and Susannah's help she's going to look so good." I say with confidence, I mean belly is so beautiful.

"It's not." Conrad said unexpectedly and I was shocked when he said this I mean why can't she try new things without people questioning her.

"Conrad, could you please be a little more supportive. Now who's going to be belly's escort." Susannah says a little frustrated.
