"(Y/n)?" The boy quickly turned as he noticed Barriss beginning to stand up. Relief flowed off the boy in waves.
"Watch your head" the girl barely realized her head was about to hit the ceiling before she stopped herself.
"Where are we?" She asked as she felt her head only to realize her wound was gone.
"A village belonging to some things called Ewoks" the boy shrugged. He made his way over to her. "You feeling better?"
"Yeah" Barriss nodded as she grabbed a lock of her hair. "Other than blood being in my hair"
"There's a river nearby" the boy offered. "You can go wash up"
"I suppose that would be a good idea" Barriss nodded. "Mind showing me the way?" (Y/n) nodded.
"Iza!" The Wistie suddenly flew through the window and stopped in front of the boy. "If Deej comes back can you tell him that I was showing Barriss to the river?"
Iza nodded wildly before flying over to a cabinet and pointing to it.
Barriss raised an eyebrow and watched as (y/n) walked over to it. He opened the cabinet and pulled out a bar of soap. "Huh. Ewok soap. Neat. Thanks Iza" (for some reason ewok soap was a big plot point in an early episode of the ewoks show)
"Let's go" (y/n) motioned Barriss to follow him as he exited the small house.
Once outside they began walking deeper into the forest. "You know..." Barriss started, trying to figure out the right words to say. "This bond we have, even if you try to hide them some of your emotions can slip out"
"What's your point?" (Y/n) asked skeptically.
"When I was hurt I could sense the emotions coming off of you. Even when I was unconscious I think I felt it" Barriss spoke as she looked away from the boy.
"You were injured, you could have bled out. I was worried" (y/n) responded quickly. "How did you expect me to feel?"
"I- that's not what I meant. There's a difference between worry and the mix of emotions you had. They were so much stronger than any Jedi's emotions should be" (y/n) sighed and crossed his arms with an uncomfortable expression. Barriss could sense how uncomfortable the conversation was making him, no doubt he could sense how it made her feel the same.
"We're here" Barriss looked back towards the boy and noticed the river in front of him. He held the soap out to her and she took it.
"I know it's not easy, but you must get control of these emotions. Whatever they are" she walked towards the river.
(Y/n) sighed before turning away and walking back towards the house. He was about halfway there when he heard a screeching sound from above. He looked up and saw some sort of dragon like creature. "This planet is a strange one" he spoke to himself. "There are forms of standard animals such as ponies, but then there are also unique ones such as this"
The creature screeched again before diving at the boy. He quickly jumped to the side, causing the beast to miss him, as a surge of panic rippled off of him. Barriss would probably be able to feel that but the boy didn't have time to worry about that. "Stop!" The boy reached out his hand and tried to form a connection with the beast.
(Y/n)? You alright? The boy was about to answer but was cut off as the dragon screeched once again before landing before the boy and screeched in his face.
"Easy" (y/n) spoke softly as he kept his hand elevated towards the beast. "Easy"
The dragon stared at him for a second before quickly screeching again and running at him. The boy jumped over the creature as fear once again rocketed through him. "I said STOP!" (Y/n) yelled at the creature as he flung his hand at the creature.
The dragon cried out as vines instantly grew out of the trees above them and wrapped themselves around the creatures wings. The vines restricted the creatures movement.
(Y/n) walked up to the restrained beast and put his hand out. "You won't find me to be an easy kill" he hissed as he tried to calm the beast. "Rest" the creatures eyes slowly closed. (Y/n) sighed, the fear left him as he did. Moments later the vines untangled themselves from the creature.
(Y/n) stared at the vines as he realized what just happened. "How the did I do that?" He whispered to himself. He quickly turned a moment later as he heard footsteps. "Barriss!"
The girl was dripping wet, her clothes now soaked, a result of her rushing to get dressed and hurrying to help. "I sensed your fear. I got worried when you didn't answer me" she spotted the dragon. "I see you didn't need my help after all" she smiled in relief.
"I'm sorry I worried you Barriss" the boy smiled in return. "I'm not used to being something's prey"
"Not fun is it?" She asked with a smile. She looked down at her clothing. The wet material clung to her body uncomfortably. "I don't suppose you have a towel?"
(Y/n) shook his head. "Nope. Sorry" she sighed. "It shouldn't take to long to dry right?"
"I suppose not" Barriss shook her head. "But for now I suppose I'll have to be uncomfortable"
(Y/n) frowned. "Give me a moment" he closed his eyes. Manipulating the air molecules the boy caused a small fire to form in the air. "Here, stand near this. It'll dry you"
Barriss raised an eyebrow. "You do realize we're in a forest right? Everything is flammable" (y/n)'s eyes widened and he quickly put the fire out. "I appreciate the thought though" she placed her hand on his arm. "Let's get out of her before that thing wakes up"
