Golden walls and golden ceilings. Intricate golden details and golden tapestries hung on golden rods all along the walls. The door frames even looked like gold. It was enchanting and otherworldly. It smelled like fresh fruit with a mix of spices. Unfamiliar spices, you thought. Unfamiliar places.

The gold showed off wealth with unimaginable taste and fashion. It was too flashy, too arrogant.

A subtle wind blew down the corridor as your crumpled shirt rolled up underneath your spine. Your bare back lying against the cold, hard stone. At least you think it was stone. You weren't sure what it was.

You stared at your hands, purple and red with
bruises and blood. The bruises seemed to become blacker as you sat, thinking. The pain in your back caused you to slump over as you monitored your surroundings, unsure of how you got there, and unsure of who you were.

Tattoos trailed up your left arm in a specific row-like pattern. You assumed they dotted up past where you couldn't see. There were too many of them, in all different symbols. Some you could decipher, while others seemed to hold an alternate or unclear meaning.

There was one on your right wrist though, that seemed to hold its spot. It felt different from the others, almost, more permanent and less alive. It was very peculiar to see these marks that covered you, yet not being able to remember them. But what was more peculiar was the person that found you.

A tall man with blonde hair strode down the hallway. He wore a pained expression and stared at each tapestry as he passed them. Then out of the corner of your eye, you saw his gaze flick to you. Sitting there, helpless.

"Who are you?" A strong voice boomed and echoed as it bounced off of each golden-trimmed edge of the wall. You did not answer, unsure yourself of who you were. You held up your arms instead. On guard for what this man might do.

"Where did you come from?" the man asked again. You tried to think of home. A green and blue planet, nuzzled in between the stars painted itself into your head. It did look like a home. But not your home.

So instead you answered with a question of your own. "Where am I?" That planet was the only thing you could remember, so for now, you would keep it to yourself.

"You do not look unlike me in species, are you from Earth? How did you get here Midgardian?" The voice asked, now sounding alarmed. You were almost alarmed at how fast he seemed to catch onto that. That may be what the planet you remembered was called. But to your knowledge, which was limited, you did not know. And so you said nothing.

"Back up," you firmly stated. The blonde man strode towards you, albeit keeping his distance. You backed up, over the rubble pile that was beneath you. His eye twitched for a moment. As he stepped towards you, one tattoo itched and burned, unlike the rest. He seemed to feel it too, a gleam in his eyes unmistakable.

"What are you doing to me? Get away from me!" you shouted, but the man only took another step. You pushed yourself onto your feet and scrambled backwards.

"Stop right there!" you exclaimed frantically.

"Are you human?" the man asked from the now short distance. You were in a fighting stance, but he seemed calm. Implying he was probably more powerful than you or at least enough so to combat whatever you might do. This was not good.

"Are you implying that I am not?" You questioned, raising your eyebrow but keeping your defense up.

"The way you got here makes you appear not as human," he said. You glanced up for a fraction of a second, the many ceilings above you crumbling through a small hole that you had fallen through.

"Then maybe I am not, for I do not know." You contemplated for a moment. Thinking back to the planet. Maybe it was best you tell him the truth.

"I do not remember- what is human?" you asked lowering your stance.
