I have always loved reading poetry, and I think that poetry is a great way to vent. It tends to keep me calm. I came to writing poetry when I was in highschool. A project my teacher gave my classmates and I was to create a collection of origional poems; and since then I loved writing. Events and people that were and still are a part of my life are what inspire a lot of these poems. The poems featured in this book have all came from my heart.
Once Upon A Time
Once upon a time I fell in love.
It flew out the window on a snow white dove.
It never came back until I prayed to the one above.
The softest smiles brighten my day.
At night before I sleep I pray the lord a love to keep
If I die before she’s found
I pray the lord she'll be heaven bound.
