"Before we go get your doggies we have to make a stop, Princess."
"Where? The candy store?!" Flavia asks
"No, my love. Princess Adriana's house," I glance at my daughter through the rear view
"Yay!" she beams and I smile.
"These are for you, Princess," I pick up the bouquet of roses from the passenger seat and hand them to her.
"Roses!" she gasps, "Thank you, King Daddy!"
"You're very welcome, Princess," I smile
There's another bouquet of flowers. A mix of sunflowers and white roses. They're Adriana's favourite.
"If we have time, we can make a stop to the candy store," I tell her
"Yay!" she claps
I just picked Flavia up from her ballet class. I dropped Ethan off at his hockey practice and Jamiah stayed to watch.
After sorting things out with Frankie and his people, I now feel a bit better about my kids and woman's safety.
There should be a few guards on watch of Adriana's house. Day and Night. My house too and the kids school.
As I drive, I think about how big of a sweet tooth Adriana is.
"You know what, Princess? Let's make a stop to the candy store."
____________
"Knock."
Flavia makes three powerful knocks on Adriana's front door and then we wait.
I hear the front door unlock and Adriana opens the door.
"Princess Adriana!" Flavia beams, holding her arms up.
"My Princess. I missed you," Adriana picks her up and kisses her cheek.
"I missed you too," Flavia says with a smile.
"Did you miss me?" I ask
"mmm... I don't think so," Adriana shakes her head.
"I brought you flowers and your favourite candy," I hold up the flowers and bag of candy.
"Maybe I missed you a little," she says, moving and opening the door so we can come in.
"How was ballet?" Adriana asks Flavia as she helps her take off her jacket.
"Good. One more week!" Flavia beams
"Are you excited for your solo?" Adriana asks
"Yeah! My teacher says if I do good I can start competing next season!" Flavia tells
"That's exciting. I know you're gonna do amazing," Adriana says
Flavia's an amazing ballet dancer. We're not allowed to watch the practices, but her teachers always say how she can go far and that she's almost ready for competitions.
Which is more expensive and more performances. Which I don't mind, as long as she's enjoying herself.
"And once this seasons over, Ethan joins me!" Flavia tells Adriana as we walk to the living room
"Ethan dances?" Adriana questions
"Yeah. It's good for the legs, balance and all that. He dances during the summer and spring," I tell
"Good for him," Adriana let's Flavia sit on the couch and she turns on the TV.
Flavia's allowed a few hours of TV time after dance, while we wait for Ethan to be done at his practice. And Flavia's very strict on it.
