Chapter 5: Shopping and Earrings

Recap:

When I was 3 years old, I was able to talk and write. And during that time, Persephone was born. Persephone, well known as Kore.

Y/N's POV:

Lady Demeter was able to spend a lot of time with Persephone till she was 3 and left her in my care during the day at the age of 6.

"Y/N! I'm going to leave Kore with you!" Lady Demeter says putting Persephone into my arms

"W-What!" I stuttered

Yes, I was still obviously a child and I didn't know how to keep care of a child who was a lot smaller than me, but I did my best.

I usually then took Persephone with me to work. I would usually grow flowers and often grow flower crowns for her, she really enjoyed it. 

And I ended up caring for her, cooking her meals, cleaning her...And then one day Lady Demeter came up to me.

"Lady Demeter? You asked for me?" I asked her

"Oh! Y/N!" she turns around, she then looked uneasy a bit "How is Kore?"

"She is doing well, Lady Demeter," I replied "But I don't believe that's why you called for me?"

"Smart as always, Y/N," she sighs in relief "Can I ask a favor?"

"Of course, Lady Demeter," I nodded

"Can you keep care of Kore? As a servant?" she asks "I know this might be a lot too much to ask-"

"I'll do it," I stated "I really enjoy caring for Lady Kore, and I owe you a lot, Lady Demeter," 

"Thank you, Y/N," she then places her hand on my cheek, she then places a piece of paper onto a table "These are the terms of being the servant and companion of Kore,"

The terms were mostly easy to apply...Except for two, which was that a part of my freedom would be taken away. And the contract can only be broken if the person I'm serving, Persephone, and the contractor, Lady Demeter, agree to release me.

"At that time I didn't know what freedom meant at that time because as I child I was already free from the burden of being an adult..." I sighed "But I'm an adult now, and I understand what that means now...But that is how I ended up being Persephone's servant, and I quite enjoy it"

"I don't know how to react to this..." Artemis slurps her drink

"What do you mean?" I asked curiously

"I mean...how could you be so okay for being enslaved? No that is not the right word..." Artemis thinks

"Honestly it's fine..." I assured her "A Nymph's job is nothing much but to serve the people above us..."

"Are you sure?" she asks me again, I nodded

"Y/N! It's your turn!" Eros then pulls me away and places Persephone on my chair

Eros then drags me to the nearest shop and starts looking at clothes and I was spacing out slowly.

"Hm...Which color would suit you more? Black? White? Green? Hm..." Eros thinks "All of them!"

He then continued to purchase a bunch of clothing and accessories. He then pulled me aside.

"You would rock in earrings!" Eros says showing me a cherry blossom dangly earrings," Eros exclaims

"They truly look stunning, but I don't have ear piercings..." I said

"Would you like them to get pierced?" Eros asks I nodded my head, and he then asked a lady to help pierce my earrings, she was a blue nymph with multiple piercings

"Since this is your first piercing, it might hurt a bit," she says, I nodded, she then places the tool at my ears and presses it, it stang a bit but not too much

"Hm...It wasn't that bad..." I said

"That's great!" she says "Now we have one more to go..."

She then pierced my other ear. She then pulled up a mirror and shows it to me. I looked really nice and I really liked the earrings.

"How does it look?" Eros and the nymph asks

"It looks...amazing," I chuckled softly, I then turned to the nymph "Thank you...Sorry, what is your name?"

"My name is Rosalie," she smiles

"Hi Rosalie, I'm Y/N, it's very nice to meet you," I smiled "I know we've just met, but would it be okay if I had your phone number? It's my second day at Olympus so I don't have many friends..."

"Of course, you can!" she smiles and typed in her phone number

"Thank you so much!"I beamed "Have a nice day!"

"You too!"

Eros and I then exited the earring shop. We entered another clothing shop as Eros continued on a spree. I then noticed the beautiful short white dress with ruffles on the bottom and puffed sleeves, that I was looking at. I then touched the soft fabric.

"Do you want that dress?" I hear Eros whisper behind me

"AGH!" I said getting spooked, Eros then raised an eyebrow "Yes..."

The next thing I knew, I was wearing the dress. I looked in the mirror, I twirled around. I really liked it, I turned to Eros and hugged him.

"Thank you so much, Eros!" I said happily

"No problem," he says hugging me back

"I've been looking for you guys everywhere!" I hear a familiar voice, I then turned around and saw Artemis "My brother is waiting for us in the parking lot, he's coming over for dinner. You'll get a chance to meet him,"
