10. 𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐌𝐍

𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘮𝘯 𝘉𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘗𝘖𝘝 :

They left me.

Lydia and Mason abandoned me, they promised me they never would. They promised me we would all stuck together and if we ever had to leave that they would take me with. Betrayal is all I felt the moment I stood out from behind Caleb who angrily stared at the empty cage.

The 4 blondes, the dirty blonde haired girl, the two brunettes, and Lydia and Mason all gone. " where are they! " he yelled in my face when I gulped as I thought for a moment. " I don't know! They ran! " I protested.

" find them! " he yelled walking towards the door, " bring them back to me dead or alive I don't care! Kill them if you have to! " he said before slamming the door behind him. " you heard him " I said to the people that stared at me, I walked out of the cell room walking up the steps as I stared towards Caleb who looked disappointed.

Lydia was definitely a suspicious one but Mason doing this was a shocking, he never failed to disappoint Caleb in anyway possible. I grabbed a gun off of the table outside of the doorway shoving it into my jacket pocket, that hung down the sides of me as I kept a straight face walking over to Caleb who handed me a knife.

" don't disappoint me either " he snarled as I nodded with a little smile, I was honestly just as pissed at Lydia and Mason as he was. I was betrayed by the two people I had left in my life that I truly cared about and saw as family. And now their gone because they can't keep a simple promise, if they told me they were helping the people I would have been able to help.

I hopped into the front of a car after stabbing a zombie and throwing it back in anger, two other people got into the car with me as Caleb had planned to send two guards with me. I looked up at the watchtower seeing Caleb he nodded at me as I nodded to him before glancing away.

My guess was they went out the back door, it was pitch black out as I turned my lights on, " keep an eye out for any of them " I spoke driving around the walls towards the road that led out the back gates, I drove and drove until I turned around in my seat seeing that two more cars with people were sent with us, he was clearly serious about this search.

I stopped in front of a miniature city, not a large city but still some tall large buildings. This was the kind of place Lydia would hide out in, I opened the car door closing it before shoving a zombie away from me as a guy stabbed its head.

I signalled for everyone to split up into different groups and to have their walkie talkies ready in case of emergencies, I took my gun out holding it carefully by the handle as I quietly walked into the tall glass building, two guys walked behind me checking around every new room we entered, I suddenly saw a shadow fly across the hallway into a different room, I quickly raised my gun towards the end of the hall.

" Come on out! " I yelled towards the person who was obviously still hiding in the room, gripping the handle of my gun now with my finger hovering over the trigger in anger, " Lydia- " I was about to talk more when a zombie ran out of the room next to me nearly throwing me over.

" fuck! " I blurted out before shoving it back and one of the guys shot it in the head, " are you okay Autumn?! " he said before I picked up the zombies head seeing if it could be Lydia or Mason or one of the others, " yeah I'm fine, but you most likely attracted a bunch now! " I complained before fixing my coat and walking down the hallway, " you guys go around! " I yelled to them as they nodded and went the other way and up the stairs.

I continued walking down the hallway a little furious about the person who went into the room when suddenly I heard the door open and a pair of muscular arms wrapped around my waist pulling me into the room and shutting the door, I was about to yell or speak but a hand had gone over my mouth. " shh shh " a deep but also soft voice spoke into my ear when I calmed a bit.
