Introductions can be a complex subject. They are responsible for misinformation and miscommunication. Someone can be introduced as an amazing person, but at the same time be a murderer.
"Good afternoon! This is Ms. Silva, she is our amazing CEO and founder of TCS Corp.! I can not wait for her to continue to lead us into and through our expansion!"
Case and point.
"Thank you Mr. Ross. I will make this short. I'm sure you all have things to do, as do I. Our next steps are to start hiring new staff for our international facilities and to get up and running fully and smoothly. Mr. Ross and I will be holding interviews for the many positions available. I will pick some of you to help. At the front, there are QR codes. If you're interested, scan one of them and fill out the application. Mr. Ross and myself will go through the applications and choose the top five employees who we think are going to be the best fit. That is all I have for you. Any questions?"
A couple of people raise their hands so I turn to Mr. Ross and point to the door. Silently telling him to answer my employees while I leave. He nods and waves.
As I head out of the conference room towards the elevators my PA Alexyss follows behind me and hands me my phone.
"Good morning Temperance! Terrance called earlier and I told him you were in a meeting and would call back when you get the chance. He must have took that as come in and bother you so he is up in your office with Alexander. I told them to wait but they would not listen I'm so sorry." Alexyss frowns.
Alexyss has been my PA for years. I first started my corporation when I was 18. I was going through college and needed some extra help, and she was the best fit for the job out of all twenty people I interviewed. She is so loyal to me and I treat her like family. But we keep our personal life's separate. I know very little about her family - other than the fact that she has two brothers and an older sister. - I have never met anyone related to her. I know that she is the youngest child and is 22 years old. She is a gorgeous Japanese/Mexican woman. I look at her like my sister, even though she works for me.
"Lex sweetheart it's alright. They listen to no one unless it's me or our parents. You don't have to worry. Thank you for telling me. I'm going out for lunch at 2:00 you're welcome to join me." I reply giving her a little smile. I doubt she will take me up on my offer she feels like she always has to do work. I'm so great full for her but at the same time I wish she wouldn't over work herself.
But she surprises me by nodding her head while pressing the elevator button to go up.
My office is on the 13th level of the building. There are 15 levels not including the roof. The roof is gorgeous. Not many people know about it other than Alexyss, Mr. Ross, and myself obviously. But it has security on it so it's not like just anyone can go up any way.
As I step out of the elevator with Alexyss not far behind me, I hear ruckus coming from my office. No doubt that it is my brothers.
"What the fuck are they doing. There is nothing even in my office that they can play with."
