History: The history of Waddel inc. begins in the 1911s when Joseph T. Waddel began his career when he bought a bankrupt retail store, the AA Company. In 1918, Waddel met the Kühn Brothers and, a year later, entered into business with Roger Duncan. In 1920, he invested 95% of the capital he had in the opening of three other franchises, now under the name of Waddel. By the early 1940s, Waddel Industry had twenty-two stores across the country. In 1952, the company began to reach 18 million dollars in sales, and, in 1964, it opened its first stores outside the country. Today, Waddel has 12,000 stores in 27 countries, becoming the world's largest retailer.
