Lunch went by in a breeze. I met some of Nancy's friends, my favorite being Robin. She was funny and energetic, I loved it. Some of the time you would see Nancy roll her eyes, but you could feel the genuine love between the both of them.

It turns out I have Music with Robin, so I know I will enjoy that class a lot more with her in it. It's even better to think that I have class with Nancy, then lunch with both of them, and after I have Music with Robin. It feels less lonely in that way.

"So, what do you like about Hawkins so far?" Robin asked me as she sat beside me. We were in the familiar plastic chairs, sitting in front of sheet music. Our teacher was trying to go over some music notes for the newcomers, but I have been in music class too many times to forget anything, so I chose to continue our conversation instead of listen to the lesson.

"Um, honestly, I haven't been able to see much of Hawkins yet, so I really couldn't tell you." I took my eyes off of Mrs. Vance to meet eyes with Robin. Her eyes were very hypnotic from being so blue. Her personality made them shine even more since she seemed passionate about everything she talked about.

"Why don't you come hang out with Steve and I after school? We could take you around town." Robin cheerfully asked me. I smiled and nodded with enthusiasm, excited for our adventures after school.

"Who's Steve, by the way?" I asked. I hadn't heard or seen a Steve around school yet, so I wasn't too sure who she was talking about.

"Steve Harrington. Oh, man, he was a legend here with the ladies. He graduated last year when we became close. He's a real relaxed guy and a definite ladies man." Robin winked at me and I laughed at that. I wasn't bringing my hopes up on that one since I just moved here and didn't really plan on starting anything with anyone quite yet.

Music ended and so the end of the day approached. It went by fairly quickly, but I knew it was going to start to drag out the last hour since I have Social Studies. It wasn't a far walk from Music, so I took my time walking to class. I was enjoying the peace and quiet until Malorie decided to show up again.

"(Y/N)! Hey, oh my gosh, how is your day going?" Malorie's cheery voice somehow brought my mood down, but I plastered that fake smile back on my face. I can't be making enemies my first day or I will end up in a living hell for a year.

"It's going great, actually." I admitted. My smile soon became a real one as I thought about the people I've met so far.

"Well-" Malorie stopped her sentence as that same mysterious boy came walking by, bumping into her. "Ew, get off me you freak."

The guy turned towards her and made a weird face and noise, making her screech and run into the classroom. He laughed and turned towards me. My eyebrows were scrunched up in confusion on why that just happened.

"What? I don't scare you?" He wondered aloud. I giggled and felt my cheeks turn bright red.

"No." I stated with a shining smile. "Not at all."

A smile creeped onto his face, showing off dimples. I felt my heart try to jump right out of my chest as I sucked in a breath. What a truly breath taking smile.

"(Y/N), right?" Again, I was taken aback and amazed on him remembering my name from class earlier.

"Um, yeah." My cheeks were burning from smiling so hard. "I never caught your name."

"Eddie Munson, but everyone calls me 'The Freak.'" He held out his hand for me to shake. I reached my hand out and shook it. Our hands stayed clasped together, staring into one another's eyes.

"Well, I hope you don't mind that I call you Eddie." I said, trying to sound confident and hoping my voice doesn't shake from how nervous I was.

"I don't mind at all. I actually like the way it sounds coming off your lips." Eddie smirked as he looked down at my lips after finishing his sentence. I wanted to faint, but I locked my knees together.

Saved by the bell. We both took our hands back to our sides and went to walk into the same classroom.

"After you." Eddie bowed, still smiling up at me.

"Why, thank you." I curtsied back, causing us both to laugh as we walked into the room. We took our seats in the back of the classroom right next to each other, just like in Math class.

All period long, I could feel Eddie staring at me from the corner of his eye. He was still smiling, as was I, knowing that I was playing a dangerous game. I wasn't the type to fall for guys like him, but I couldn't help myself after seeing him. That smile will haunt my dreams.
