Name: Up and Down
Author: @AgeOfAdaline @RobThier (Robert Thier)
What did I like about it?
Storm and Silence, one of Sir Rob's other major/awesome/brilliant/totally read-worthy books, is the only one that is incomplete, that I haven't shoved to a corner yet; and if anyone knows me, they know that I absolutely do not read incomplete books.
How did this happen? It was that author and his damn incredible writing skills! I'm not going to speak on behalf of historians and discuss whether or not his work is "historically correct," however for a 16 year-old reader, his writing is pretty legitimate. It took me back in time to whatever age the story is written for and completely transformed my surroundings.
Back to Up and Down. Sir Rob has taken his epic story of Lily Linton and Mr Ambrose, and added a little bit of sass, style, and Age of Adaline magic, turning the characters immortal. In just four chapters, the author has given a brand new insight on the story, without interrupting the original Storm and Silence or giving anything away.
All hail Sir Rob for doing what he does best - writing for us Watt-lings :) Thanks!
What do I (personally) think could have been better?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Do I recommend* it?
Good to see you here!! Hope you like my first review :o I'm really excited to start writing another one :D If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, let me know and I'll see what I can do to make this an enjoyable experience for both of us!!
Love, Anji Z<3
* By the way, the answer to this question will always be yes, because I'll only be doing reviews on the books that I've recently read and enjoyed. If you'd like to check out any book that I recommend but don't have the time to write a review on, then check out my Read and Recommended reading list ;)
