The room held a deathly atmosphere, a peculiar stench lingered in the air and the lights flickered like lightning in a storm, here goes nothing...
"Holy shit!" I froze in pure shock and fear.
There he sat, sobbing and very clearly injured: Mickey.
Anyones basic instinct would be to rush over and help, but I'm not so easily convinced by his behaviour. "Y/n" he spoken faintly, sounding broken.
"I tried to stop her, I've fucked up and I tried to stop her but I.. I couldn't" Mickey began explaining himself, yet the context of his words was still unknown to me. "Hey... It's okay, what happened?" I questioned, desperate to know more. At the same time, I was preparing myself for the worst (just in case this was all just a trap).
"Look y/n, I'm so fucking sorry..." Mickey had tears rolling out of his bloodshot eyes. "Sorry for what?" I wondered, walking over to him. Even if this is a trick, I'm sure I can take him, plus Joel is outside as backup. "I was involved in this whole 'new' ghostface thing, I don't even know why... I met a woman who said she wanted to bring back this ghostface killer, something about getting revenge, she manipulated me and I began helping her. I never killed anyone, she tried to force me to do it, but it's not who I am. She killed.. she killed Stu. I tried my best to stop her but.." Mickey pulled aside his sleeve of his shirt, revealing a few fresh wounds, "..she got me"
"Hey, hey.. shh just slow down a bit.." I attempted to stay calm, I could tell Mickey was no threat to me. It was so difficult not to break down right here right now, I mean... Stu, he's dead. "You said.. Stu was-" "he's in there" Mickey pointed towards one of the cubicles.
I wiped multiple tears from my eyes and composed myself to the best of my ability, before crouching down to Mickey's level. "It's okay Mickey, I'm here to help.." my words were laced with a soothing tone. I brought my hand up to cup Mickey's face, wiping his tears away at the same time. "Let's get out of here" I announced as I helped him up.
"We should be careful, I don't know here she went" Mickey spoke as he followed me to the door. "Ghostface?" I queried - assuming that's who he meant - Mickey nodded.
My hand reaching up to grab the door handle, but I was grabbed by Mickey and pushed against the wall, "Hey! What the fu-" his hand slapped over my mouth and his eyes pierced though my own. I didn't fight back... nor did he fight me. The only movement he did, was turn his head in the direction of the door as if he was listening to something.
Mickey lowered me from off the wall, and just looked at me. "What the fuck was that about, that scared me!" I whisper shouted, clearly puzzled by his behaviour. "I heard someone.."
I took a moment to think about it, even if the noise was Joel, or even just a random person, Mickey kept us safe... I suppose there is a chance that it could've been ghosty.
I sighed.
Flinging my arms around Mickey, I held him; he didn't waste much time in hugging me back. Although Mickey can sometimes be rather strange, I do love him (in a friendly way), and even though the current situation is confusing, I know he won't hurt me. I was also partly testing him, if he intended on hurting me, he's now had multiple opportunities to do so. In conclusion, he's a good guy... or at least, as of right now, he's a good guy.
