Noel: Welcome to Horsing Around with Noel, where we have amazing guests, talking about their past life and what they are doing now! This week's episode, we have the amazing singer/songwriter and actress, Peyton Lawson! Welcome Peyton!
Peyton: Hi Noel! Thank you for having me here!
Noel: Before we talk about your life, I should talk about this week's sponsor, Disney Plus. Yes, Disney Plus! I know right? Maybe because Peyton here is going to be in the Disney+ series Hawkeye in the few weeks. Now, let's get started!
Noel: Peyton Lawson. You were an West End actress before you started your singing career? Correct?
Peyton: Yeah, that is correct. I did musicals at my local theatre before going to the West End. Like Adventures in Wonderland, Blood Brothers and Lion King.
Noel: Did you get the lead roles in all of your theatre plays?
Peyton: No, not all the time. Once I auditioned for a role in DNA, which is a play about bullying and teenage problems which lead to murder. I know, very dramatic! [she laughs] I got the part of Cathy, which was a supporting role. She didn't get any monologues. I think only Leah got the only monologue in the play but I wasn't disappointed that I didn't get the lead..
[Peyton chuckled]
Peyton: It was a great opportunity for me, definitely.
Noel: Romeo and Juliet was your first acting job in a movie. How was it on set?
