There are some villains that work in the darkness of night, using the shadows to their advantage. There are other villains, however, that work in the brightness of day and light, manipulating the sun's glare to hide their actions.

A hero works from a sense of love and duty, a desire to protect others, and a willingness to take on suffering if it keeps others safe. They use their aggression for noble purposes; they develop self-control and an ability to do the harder thing when it is the right thing to do.

A villain only desires power; they think nothing of making others suffer as long as they gain the advantage. Their aggression is destructive. After all, they lack empathy because they made choices for emotional coldness - those infinite paper cuts to the soul. The villain wallows in their own sense of victimhood rather than using their pains as part of their emotional education toward an empathic self. As such, a world of power only benefits the development of villains; heroes would work hard every day for others and consider it an honour to have the chance to do so.

So I ask you, dear reader, who is the villain of this story and who is the hero?
