In order to be eligible to submit and win a Watty Award, you and your story/stories must abide by ALL of the eligibility criteria below:
AGE
You must be at least 13 years of age or older. Winners under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to enter and to collect any prizes. Please ensure that you have added your birthdate to your Wattpad account to confirm your age, otherwise you will not receive an eligibility banner on your story.
WORD COUNT
Your story must contain 50,000 words or more, and it must be marked as complete, when submitted to one of the following award categories:
Fan Fiction, Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Horror, Paranormal, Mystery & Thriller, New Adult, Romance, Science Fiction, Young Adult, Wild Card and Sequels (English Only).
Story submissions can have as many (or as few) parts as they like.
DATE POSTED
The first part of your story must have been posted to Wattpad on or after January 1st, 2020. You can finish it at any time before you submit your story.
SUBMISSIONS & SUBMISSION FORM
You must complete a submission form along with your entry in order to be eligible. Ensure all information is accurate before hitting "submit," because once you do, that's it! You will not be able to edit the form after submission.
You are welcome to submit more than one eligible story into the Wattys.
Past Watty winners are welcome to submit a story to the Wattys, but they cannot enter a story that has won a Watty before. Stories that have been longlisted or shortlisted for the Wattys (but have not won) can be submitted so long as they meet all eligibility criteria.

The Wattys accept submissions worldwide, where such contests are allowed by law.
