(3rd Person)
(Y/N) currently sat in his room at the Butterfly mansion, his gaze on the very weapon he's come to rely on for the past few days, possibly even a month or so. He wasn't too sure how many days had passed since he first gained this sword, the one that changed into the colour representing his breathing style. His thoughts were all over the place at the moment, that chat with his teacher only brought a few doubts into his mind... he recalled the very first time they met.
How he lost his brother to the demons on that day, how his entire life changed simply because of his own selfish decision to not go back home, to instead allow his parents to believe he was dead while he trained under Fuyuko... well, partly trained since he had to train himself up first after Fuyuko refused to do so. And now... for some reason, (Y/N) had a thought in his head that this mission was going to go horribly, it was a simple one: the Infinity Train. A train said to be occupied by a demon since every passenger that enters never seems to arrive at their destination, they disappear without a trace halfway through and no one has a reasonable explanation... no one other than the Demon Slayer Corps of course.
Unfortunately, the information regarding demons was only limited to some people in this world, only those who were fortunate enough to survive an attack from the demons. Especially those involved with the corps, therefore trying to convince higher-ups that demons were responsible would be the same as convincing them of something absurd such as a dragon or fairies existing.
This is why if a demon slayer were spotted by an average person who knew nothing of demons, they'd just assume them to either be normal samurai or assassins with their weapons. This lack of information to the public has of course caused several different incidents, some even ended up with demon slayers landing in prison until their fellow peers pay for bail.
As for why this information was being brought up, it was simply due to (Y/N)'s mentor Fuyuko reminding him that while on this train, they'll be in the public's view. Any suspicious behaviour from them would only jeopardize the mission and cause more lives to be lost, the mission being investigating and possibly slaying any demons found on the Infinity Train.
Fuyuko: We won't be the only slayers on the train, there's a big chance it's a demon moon. We don't know whether it's higher or lower, but Lord Oyakata wants to make sure we survive, so instead of one Hashira... another Hashira will be accompanying us, as well as the three who've learned Total Concentration Breathing Constant.
(Y/N): Amazing... those three have mastered the technique before me and I've got more years of experience in training than them.
Fuyuko: Hah, training isn't the only thing that'll make you strong. If you spend your life practising on opponents who don't attack back or you know their moves to, it won't prepare you for the enemies who are completely different.
(Y/N) nodded to his teacher's advice, suddenly standing and bidding her farewell as he went to prepare himself for this mission. Along the way, he couldn't help but sigh a bit to himself, the thought that frustrated him the most wasn't that the trio in his group had mastered the breathing technique. But it was the fact that he'd gone through the exact same training and never once managed to perfect it, it caused him to start thinking that maybe there was something wrong with his body.
???: Big Boom doesn't look so well...
???: Is it cause he still can't do the breathing constantly?
Hearing those voices, (Y/N) couldn't help but grow a small smile, slowly turning and laying his eyes on the triplet girls of the Butterfly mansion. Though they're not related to each other, you'd never be able to tell from their faces, only allowing them to look different by their hairstyles. So for (Y/N), he wasn't sure himself if they were sisters or not, having never visited the mansion until today thanks to his rigorous training that kept him confined to Fuyuko's retreat.
