As a Green Lantern, Y/N had greatest mission to protect his home until he is called by the Guardians to join Hal and others to the Frontier to stop the threat of the Red Lanterns and other forces.

Ah the great city of San Francisco. A place where people enjoy their lives, the 49ers battle against the Falcons, and the democratic mayor was arrested for fraud. Riding in the trolley is Y/N. He is a kind person who likes adventures, protecting people, and beautiful girls, all kind. Once the trolley reaches to its destination, Y/N climbs off before walking off towards home.
All of a sudden, a beep was heard. Y/N looks around before heading inside his apartment. Once inside, he raises his fist showing a green ring.
That's right. Y/N is in fact a Green Lantern. Two years ago, Y/N was walking in the forest when a crash was heard. He goes to investigate before discovering a crashed alien ship. He goes to see a unknown being wearing a Green Lantern Uniform. He tells Y/N that he chose him as the next wearer of the ring. Y/N accepts and gets taken to Oa for basic training. Now he is his home world's protector.
Y/N answers it and it shows Green Lantern Salaak.
Y/N: Green Lantern Y/N, reporting in, Salaak.
Salaak: Green Lantern Y/N, the Guardians are need of you.
Y/N: Tell them I'm on my way.
Y/N ends the call before he changes into his GL suit. Once changed, Y/N flies out of his out and leaves Earth. The young man flies towards Oa.
(Sometimes later...)
After landing on the surface of Oa, Y/N sees the wonders of Oa. He sees the chambers where the Guardians gather before flying towards it. Once inside he sees the four arm Lanter, Salaak.

Salaak: Green Lantern Y/N.
Y/N: Salaak. Good to see you. Are the Guardians here?
Salaak: Yes they are.
Y/N: Thank you.
He goes into the council chambers and sees the Guardians.

Appa: Green Lantern Y/N L/N of Sector 2814.
Y/N: Reporting for duty.
He salutes to the Guardians like a soldier.
Appa: You have been summoned because the galaxy is under threat. The Red Lanterns have declared war and we have already sent Hal Jordan along with Kilowog to the Frontier Space.
Y/N: Red Lanterns?
Sayd: The Red Lanterns have been attacking or conquering planets. You must join Hal to stop them.
Y/N: Where is he anyway?
Ganthet: Somewhere in the Frontier Space.
Appa: You won't be able to fly to Frontier Space in another 18 months. However, we've manage to create a starfighter that can reach to the destination.
Y/N: a starfighter? Perfect.
Appa: That is why you are now in command of the Scout. You are to gather a small team and depart at first light tomorrow.
Y/N: Guardians, I won't let you down.
Appa nods and Y/N departs. He knows that he is willing to head for Frontier Space. The next day, Y/N is at the hangar as his friends, Arisia, Laira, AL-X, Krydel-4, and Boodikka load up the ship with supplies.

Y/N knows that this is the greatest journey that he won't return.
Arisia: The ship is ready.
AL-X: Are we ready?
Y/N: Let's go, team.
The Lanterns boarded the Scout. Y/N becomes the pilot while Arisia becomes co-pilot. The ship fires up and takes off. It leaves Oa and it flies towards Frontier Space.
