"FOR THE LAST TIME," chanaïs huffed into her phone, setting down her cat's food. "i don't want to come to your influencer-hoarded party." anyone else would've taken that as a sign to leave her be, but jadon insisted that she come, for a reason he wouldn't give up.
"no, nai, you don't understand— everyone is going to be there."
"okay? congratulations? as much as i'd love to ─── i don't, by the way ─── i have other things to do, jadon."
she heard him sigh over the phone and could pretty much picture him running his hand over his face in distress. "why's it so important that i come anyway?" she huffed.
"because.... you're my friend and that... friends always support each other?" he sounded hesitant, but chanaïs knowing jadon, he would never be this persistent on a matter unless it was exceptionally important.
"fine. what time does it start." as soon as the words left her mouth, she began to regret it all too fast.
"seven today, i'll pick you up. love you, bye" he stretched out, ending the call before she could reject anything.
and with a groan, chanaïs decided to get ready before jadon came knocking, seeing as it was already almost four in the afternoon.
