The train stopped and the kids left their compartments to get off the train. A man was yelling for first years so the group of four made their way over to the very big man.
" Bloody hell he is tall." James said to his new friends.
" I believe he is half giant." Said a red haired girl as she stood beside the four.
" Right you are miss." Said the tall man looking at the red head.
" Lily Evans sir." The girl said. The man smiled and talked to the children about how he was half giant and the gatekeeper for Hogwarts.
" Sorry sir but we never got your name." Luna said looking up at the man.
" Oh I'm sorry young one my name is Hagrid." The half giant man said looking at the little blonde hair 11 year old.
" Well hello Hagrid my name is Luna, this is my brother Remus, and our new friends we met on the train James Potter and Sirius Black." Luna introduced everyone by pointing to them. Hagrid smiled again at the children then turned his attention to the rest of the 11 year old that grouped around him.
" Alright 1st years 3 to a boat." Hagrid said and climbed in a boat. Sirius and James drug Remus in a boat with them so Luna was left by herself.
" You can ride with us. " Lily said as she sat beside a boy with black hair and brown eyes. Luna smiled gratefully and climbed in the boat with them.
" My name is Luna Lupin what's yours?" Luna asked the boy. The boy looked toward Lily without saying anything.
"This is Severus Snape sorry he doesn't talk to new people very much he is shy." Lily said. Luna smiled in Severus direction.
"Well I'll break you of being shy in front of me Sev. " Luna said smiling at the boy. Severus looked up into her eyes and gave a small smile.
" That's great Severus then we can be a trio." Lily said looking at the boy. Severus nodded and looked down at his book.
" So what house do you think you'll be placed in?" Luna asked.
" I don't really know about the houses that well, I honestly just hope I'm with one of you." Lily said.
" Are you a muggle born?" Luna asked tilting her head to the side. Lily thought it was really cute and smiled at the girl.
" Yes I wouldn't even of known about wizards and witches except Severus lives near me and could tell I was a witch." Lily said.
" Oh that's cool, I'm glad you came to Hogwarts thou. You are the first friends besides my brother I've ever had." Luna said looking down happy but sad at the same time. Lily frowned and grabbed the girls hand.
" Well if it makes you fell better the only friend I've had is Sev before now." Lily said.
" You are the only friends I have too. Until I get into Slytherin, then I will make more friends." Severus said shyly. The girls smiled and looked forward. The Hogwarts castle came into view and the three kids were in awe at how beautiful the castle was. The boats stopped one by one and the children climbed out. Hagrid gathered all the children and let them to the doors of Hogwarts, he opened the doors and let them in.
