(Phone conversation)

11:10 PM

Liam:
Hello, baby. Akyat ba 'ko diyan? O bababa ka rito? (Chuckles)

Miles:
Hmp. I'm comfortable on my bed na. You can't make me move na.

Liam:
Hmm. Sigurado ka na? Gusto mo akyat ako diyan ta's subukan ko? (Chuckles)

Miles:
(Laughs softly) I hear naughty in your voice. Stay in your room, baby. No more of that tonight.

Liam:
Hmm. Ano 'yong that?

Miles:
You're makulit. (Laughs softly) Don't tease me anymore. Susunod ako kay Mother Lily. She called me again kanina.

Liam:
Sikyu si Mama ah. (Laughs)

Miles:
I appreciate her reason naman. I'm actually touched that she cares for me. I heard some stories na 'yong parents ng boyfriend, they don't care 'cause hindi naman at a disadvantage ang guys when it comes to relationships. 

Liam:
'Buti naman naiintindihan mo siya. Gano'n talaga 'yon si Mama. Lagot tayo ro'n 'pag 'di tayo sumunod.

Miles:
Yeah. She's a little scary. I thought she'd lecture me about being too easy or something along those lines. 'Yon pala she wants me to be mindful and to take care of myself. To sleep in my unit instead of yours. 'Wag daw ako paaabuso sa 'yo. (Laughs softly) And nagwo-worry siya dahil hindi n'yo pa na-meet ang parents ko or anyone from my family.

Liam:
Nabanggit nga rin niya sa 'kin 'yan.

Miles:
You know what... (Yawns) I'm excited to introduce you to my family too. But my aunt's not in the country right now and she's the first one I'd like you to meet. Kasi she's the one who took me in after Mommy died. Dapat siya muna bago mga cousins and uncles ko. Although, uhm, I'm quite nervous din talaga. Wala pa 'kong naipakilala na kahit sino sa kanila. Not even a crush. I wonder how they would take it if I tell them I have a boyfriend. 

(Pause)

Miles:
Oh. Uh, but... I'll only introduce you if you want. I mean, if you're ready. I'm not pressuring you to meet them or to be ready... but you know, it's one of the things I thought about kanina.

Liam:
(Chuckles) Gets ko naman. Kanina ba 'yan sa drive?

Miles:
Yeah...

Liam:
Kaya ka tahimik?

Miles:
Yeah. Bukod sa I'm really sleepy because of our noontime activity, I'm thinking about a lot of things. Uh... awkward ba kanina?

Liam:
Hindi. May mga iniisip din naman ako.

Miles:
(Yawns) Like what, baby?

Liam:
Na ang saya mo mahalin at na ang saya mo magmahal pabalik.

(Pause)

Miles:
Hmmm. Really? I make you happy?

Liam:
Oo. (Pause) Gulat nga rin ako kung bakit ang lakas ng tama ko sa 'yo. Hindi pa tayo matagal magkakilala. Marami pa 'kong hindi alam at gustong alamin sa 'yo. Siguro sa mga susunod na araw, mag-aaway rin tayo sa maliliit na bagay o hindi magkakaintindihan. Pero alam kong iba 'yong tayong dalawa. Nasasakyan mo mga trip ko, at kahit mas malaki ang sahod mo, alam kong wala lang sa 'yo. Magulo pero gano'n.

Miles:
Oh-em-gee, baby. Later on, hahanapin ko na ang payslip mo. (Laughs softly)

Liam:
Hahanapin mo ba sa katawan ko? (Chuckles)

Miles:
You're naughty! (Giggles) But can I? (Giggles)

Liam:
'Wag mo 'kong hinahamon, Miss Miles, may payslip na 'ko rito.
